Stopped by The DoughShed Pizza today and had one of the best quick meals I’ve had in a long time. I ordered a personal pan pizza and a fresh salad, and both were absolutely perfect — the pizza crust was golden and crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and loaded with just the right amount of toppings. The salad was crisp, colorful, and full of flavor — a great balance to the pizza.
A special shoutout to Sara, who took my order. She was friendly, patient, and really knew the menu. She made great recommendations and made me feel genuinely welcome — that kind of service makes all the difference.
Between the great food, clean atmosphere, and excellent customer service, The DoughShed Pizza has definitely earned a spot on my favorites list when I am in town. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I stopped for lunch and got the buffet (pizza, spaghetti, soups, salads) and it was delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was nice and clean. Great choice! ❤️ Highly recommend!

The staff are so friendly call Mom and there is an amazing atmosphere. Reminds me of the family restaurants growing up back in the 90s. Not to mention their Pizza is amazing and their dessert pizza is awesome. Don’t even get me started on the salad bar holy crap the choices. It’s extremely reasonable for an all you can eat buffet.

I had a great meal as usual along with a special request pizza on the buffet bar. I had a bowl of the chili beans and then the pizza from the bar. I ask for my ultimate veggie pizza with no cheese for my health, and they always accommodate my unusual dietary needs. Staff is very friendly, and they clean the tables constantly of dirty dishes.

Visited for the first time this past Sunday with my parents. They have a wonderful buffet. The salad bar has a very nice variety of items including potato salad, pasta salad, pickled beets and pickled okra which my mother loved. The people there were friendly and helpful. The pizza was wonderful as well. The bar also included spaghetti and a variety of soups. They have several locations especially up I-77. I will definitely be back at my first opportunity.

Visited The Dough Shed tonight for the first time – fully expecting (&craving) a CiCi’s experience, and it hit the spot! The pizza isn’t anything extraordinary, but it’s good. The salad bar was well stocked with different lettuces, toppings, and some pasta/veggie salads. Service was impeccable and the restaurant was very clean. Nostalgia: 10/10. Would go back sometime, but with cash! I was disappointed that I couldn’t leave a tip on my card – so bring cash if you would like to tip.
Sadly there were no breadsticks or dessert pizzas on the buffet, and the wings looked very sad – so sad that I didn’t even give them a try.. which stinks because I accidentally chose “Wing Night” as my first time visiting. Won’t do that again. It was $17 for the “Wing Night” buffet price, which is $3-4 more than the regular price and I didn’t even eat any wings, but it’s their policy to charge the Wing Night price on Wednesdays even if you don’t consume any wings.

3/12/22: Having to edit my review tonight. Yes, it slightly snowed last night and yes it’s about 10 degrees outside. We arrived at 7 pm on a Sat night. Website says they close at 10. Cashier told us they were closing at 8 due to ice on roads (?) . OK. We are all about about safety, but at 7:20, they started putting chairs on top of tables, vacuuming, and sent the bus boy around to pick up dishes (3 x in 10 minutes). Sorry, but this was super disappointing. The entire bar was full of pizza, so yes, I did tell the last employee that I hoped they were going to give that food to homeless animals instead of throwing it in the trash.
Tonight’s experience was NOT a pleasant one. Not that the owner ever looks at reviews b/c I’ve yet to receive a response to emails from three years ago.

I left 4 stars instead of 5, because although cell phones prompt for the Village Inn Guest password, employees are not even given the password to share (?).
Side note: We’ve left three comments directly to the Village Inn Pizza “Contact us” link over the past 10 years. Two were compliments (for the Wilkesboro location), and one (pre-pandemic) was a negative (W. Jefferson) regarding the cleanliness of the restaurant, the empty pizza’s, no spaghetti noodles and no spaghetti sauce. I’m not sure who monitors the emails through the website, but even though we provided our phone number for return replies, no one has ever responded.

Absolutely amazing, super cheap, s’mores pizza was awesome!! Good soup, salad, etc. you could get pizza, salad, soup, and spaghetti for 12$ buffet. Service was amazing and if they didn’t have have a pizza you wanted on the buffet they would usually just make it and put it on the buffet!! Super great!!! Would go again!!!

We love the Dough Shed !! Great fresh pizzas, a clean salad bar with lots of choices and my kids LOVE their spaghetti!!! Chicken Bacon Ranch is my families favorite and of course we love the dessert pizzas, chocolate chip, cinnamon and strawberry are our go tos!!
