Went here after playing DodgeArrows down the street. Walked in with a group of 20 of us and the staff was great! Took really good care of us, kept the drinks flowing. Couldn’t have asked for more! Also the women’s bathroom is a reason of it’s own to visit this place. But if nothing else, come here for the dips and the ice cold beer. Thanks Jayda for the great service!

The colorful interior, lively bar scene, and a solid playlist or live band creates a fun, unpretentious vibe that feels more like a friend’s backyard bash than a formal night out. On atmosphere alone, Gina’s scores high marks.

A standout part of our experience was the service, especially Andre, who delivered an A+ performance. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly knows how to make guests feel welcome. Service can make or break a visit, and Andre elevated ours.

But once the food hit the table, the experience became more mixed.

Let’s start with what was most disappointing: the Good Charlotte tacos. They came hyped on the menu but landed with a thud. Bland and underseasoned, the tacos lacked any punch of flavor or personality. With a name like “Good Charlotte,” you might expect some edge or excitement. Instead, the dish felt like a soft opening act that didn’t quite earn the headliner slot. The portion size was also surprisingly skimpy—especially for the price point. Three very small tacos and a modest scoop of rice isn’t cutting it in a region packed with taco joints that know how to deliver both value and taste.

Adding to the letdown was the absence of free chips and salsa. At a place calling itself a cantina, you’d reasonably expect that bottomless chips are part of the welcome. Not at Gina’s. Chips here are an upcharge, which feels out of step for a Mexican-inspired restaurant and subtly undercuts the hospitality vibe they seem to be going for.

Another eyebrow-raiser: the kids’ meals, which clock in at $11 each. For that price, you might anticipate something creative, generous, or at least better than fast-casual. Instead, what arrived was barely distinguishable from the most basic adult plate—except smaller. When a child’s chicken tender and fries costs as much as a full entrée, it’s fair to expect a little more thought or value. The cost-to-quality ratio here just doesn’t add up.

In short, Gina’s Cantina is a place I wanted to love—and in many ways, I did enjoy the visit. The music, the vibe, and great service (shoutout again to Andre) make it a fun spot to meet up with friends or unwind after work. But from a food perspective, the kitchen has some catching up to do. When tacos fall flat, chips aren’t offered, and kids’ meals rival entrée prices, it’s hard to call the experience a full win.

*UPDATED REVIEW* These fajitas are FIRE!!The food is fast, fresh and phenomenal. They take allergies seriously and the menus/surfaces are clean and NOT sticky like most bars I’ve come across. Taco Tuesday is the best deal with two very well portioned tacos with your choice of protein and a beer for less than a McDonald’s value meal! I already mentioned fresh but I can’t say enough about the quality of the produce on their plates. Crispy lettuce, chunky tomatoes and delicious salsa. And, an awesome homemade hot sauce. Go get ya some!

I do love the atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly.
However, my spicy margarita left a lot to be desired. It had an unappetizing, pickled jalapeno floating in it, and it didn’t taste like it had the spicy vodka it was purported to be made with. It was also strangely salty for some reason (and I used the straw, didn’t taste the rim). I think if I’d been drinking from the rim, it wouldn’t have been unbearably salty.
Then I had the nachos, and the salsa + guac were sour while the dressing was too sweet. The flavor combinations were strange. It was also made with melted shredded cheese that did it no favors, becoming a dried bit of cheese on most of the nachos.

This place has an eclectic vibe. The interior is very ‘art deco’. A little bit of everything on the walls and bar area.

There is an outside eating area with wooden tables and umbrellas. Overall, looks much better than its previous location (which was about ¼ mile away).

The beer selection is fair with about 12 beers on tap. Their Tex-Mex style of food is very good. Highly recommend the Avocado Boat and do not miss Fajita Night (Wednesday and Saturday). Can never go wrong with their 2 Tacos for $3. I recently had their queso with chorizo … outstanding with the flour chips.

The service is good. Bartender and servers are polite and friendly. Definitely, a ‘locals’ hangout. Shanna, the bartender, is the best!

We tried Gina’s for lunch. We had the chips with hot sauce, taco platter, and Tijuana Chicken Quesadilla. The chips were very good but the hot sauce was just average. It tasted more like Tabasco sauce. We would have preferred some salsa. The chicken tacos on the taco plate were not very good. The chicken was not hot and the overall flavor was bland. The quesadilla was pretty good. The Tijuana sauce really made the difference. Without that it would have just been average. The staff was friendly and service was fast. The interior of the restaurant is really quirky but in a good way. It was a real carnival for your eyes.

Stopped in for the first time ever. Had some of the freshest tasting tacos and nachos served by the friendliest staff ever. Food was super tasty, served hot and was all freshly made and quickly. Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable with a home kind of feeling. I would suggest this place to others for sure. Will be returning for aure to try other menu options.

A great hideout for bikers to hang out and others too, if you want to chill out for a drink and some food. The service staff are extremely friendly. I would ha e given full 5 stars if the food quality can be improved. Otherwise no complaints. Plenty of parking space and there’s an outdoor seating too. I would definitely return to spend a leisurely hour or so.
