We’ve ordered pizza twice from here. Both times the pizza was good. We got carry out and didn’t have any issues.

Sometimes it shows up on time. Other times they take over an hour, even if you live nearby. You never know what you’re going to get from this place. This thing was so cold it’d pretty much formed one giant piece. There also doesn’t appear to be sauce on this. I live 4 blocks away and tipped $10. So know that your tips are irrelevant. You’re gonna get what you get.

Customer service at its absolute worst — with one important exception at a different location.

I placed an online order around 6:45 PM on a Saturday evening for an Extravaganzza pizza (pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, beef, fresh onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, layered with provolone and mozzarella) along with a garden salad; the total was $27.48.

Less than five minutes later, I realized I had accidentally submitted the order to the L Street NW location instead of the First Street NE store.

Compliments of MOM, my previous order at the L Street NW location was approximately $500 for 50 piazzas (pepperoni, cheese, veggie) for an impromptu pizza party for elementary students at a nearby school to celebrate perfect attendance.

That experience wasn’t the best: the crew did not manage to expectations (pizzas were not ready despite advance payment and notice).

Once at the First Street NE location, I immediately called the L Street store to cancel the order and request a credit.

What followed was beyond frustrating.

I waited more than 10 minutes with no real assistance.

Multiple times, someone would pick up the phone and then there was only silence; no greeting, no help, no professionalism or the call would disconnect.

It felt like the store was intentionally avoiding customers.

Mistakes happen, and I took responsibility for placing the order at the wrong location.

But being completely ignored when trying to cancel almost immediately is unacceptable.

Basic customer service should not be this difficult.

Conversely, my experience was the complete opposite at the First Street NE location.

An employee named Ariful listened with empathy, handled the situation professionally, took the same order, and even offered a 20% discount.

That level of customer care made all the difference and deserves recognition.

The contrast between these two locations is shocking.

I will never order from the L Street NW store again.

What’s the reason to offer a contact number if the store has no intention of responding professionally to customers?

I ordered a pizza at 11:07. It’s 12:31 and I’m on the phone with the location trying to figure out what is going on. The driver put in his app and said it was delivered, but then called our manager to say he was 5 minutes away and did we still want the pizza. That was 10 minutes ago. I was on hold waiting for a response, the pizza arrived and so they just hung up the phone without coming back. First and last time ordering from here.

WARNING FROM A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL: DANGEROUS HYGIENE & DISRESPECTFUL STAFF

As a nurse in the District, I am daily on the front lines combating foodborne illnesses and infections. I know exactly what cross-contamination looks like, and what I witnessed at this L Street location was a public health hazard.

The Hygiene Failure: I watched a staff member preparing food with soiled gloves. When her own coworker told her to wash her hands, she proceeded to “wash” the SAME DIRTY GLOVES with water instead of changing them and scrubbing her hands.

The “Do-Over”: When I confronted her about this blatant violation, she actually asked me for a “do-over.” In my profession, there are no “do-overs” once you have contaminated a surface or someone’s food. This shows a complete lack of basic food safety training.

Total Disrespect: I wasn’t greeted when I walked in, and the disregard for me as a person was staggering. When I asked for my money back, the young man behind the counter refused to hand me my change directly, instead dropping my $20 bill on the counter.

The Risk: I was planning to share this food. Had I not been paying attention, I could have put myself and others at risk of getting sick.

I have officially filed reports with the DC Department of Health and Team Washington (Domino’s Franchisee). If you value your health, AVOID THIS LOCATION.

After waiting between 1 and 17 hours, they deliver whatever random pizza and sides they feel like. Wanted a Hawaiian with a side of Parmesan knots? Too bad. You’re getting a pepperoni with a side of bbq sauce wings. You do not tell Dominos what you want, Dominos will tell YOU what they are going to deliver if anything at all. Good luck to you. Hope it’s something you’re willing to eat after waiting 3 hours.

Place is terrible. Service terrible. Manager doesn’t know how to run the store. Lazy drivers said that they couldn’t make the delivery the street was open nothing was blocking the road way. No one told you to work at a pizza shop you upset with your job or life then apply yourself.
