3 years ago. great clams, good ceasar salad. all entrees good except one fish entree that was unfortunately overcooked. vast selection of wines and cocktails. amazing professional service!
The restaurant was as usual very clean, it looked much nicer than what I remember. Our server was a pro and assisted us for a wonderful dinner.
We started with our fav grilled octopus. It was cooked really good, not burned or over grilled. The sauce and vegetables were complementary to the dish. I got the Bronzino for entree. It was so delicious, baked/grilled to perfection. I ate the whole thing within minutes. The vegetables and mash potatoes were delicious sides.
We got a side of shrimp fried rice, it looked really nice but taste was underwhelming. Maybe a better quality rice would enhance it.
I got couple of mocktails, guava and strawberry. Both were really good. Guava was more sweeter than strawberry.
Overall I had a wonderful dinner. The food was served so quick, I was amazed. I always had good experience this place.
Original (2019): Changed my rating to 5. In my next visit, the lamb chops and Shrimp grits melt my heart.
It’s a very good seafood place but I didn’t like their steak. We tried their Seafood dish of the day that came with 6 oz lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops, all of that tested great. But my 10 oz filet mignon was kinda dry. I saw another customer sending back half of her steak too. They have a really cool dessert item named ‘Alaska’ something. They pretty put a cake on fire with Rum. Awesome! The service is good and the restaurant looks very nice. Totally recommend except their steak.
The food was delicious. The shrimp n grits were good but the crab cake was the star for me. Plan on going back for my anniversary.
I want to express gratitude to the staff that exudes true customer service that made my experience in Atlanta amazing
Anyways I was half expecting them to turn us away when we showed up for our reservation. LOL. But we were shown to a table. Our waiter was polite. We got bottled water and the bread and veggie platter (this was not complementary). Hubby got Guava Daiquiri, and I got a Ginger Ale. We ordered the Grilled Octopus to start, and Hubby saw Surf and Turf and didn’t read any further. LOL. Chicken Fried Lobster caught my eye. This was an unusual find. hehehe. But I had a few questions that our waiter patiently answered. Got a side of Lobster Mac.
Guava Daiquiri – was tasty, and I don’t drink 😀
Bread and Veggie Platter – Hubby liked the bread, but it was too hard for me… the veggies were a waste of money… 🙁 Iced cold and raw with nothing to dip or any dressing. Hubby did enjoy the olives and I the banana peppers. Was expecting a plate of Giardiniera, though 🙁
Grilled Octopus – flavor was good, but it was so chewy… I know octopus is chewy, but I’ve ordered it at many restaurants and some that were not “seafood restaurant,” and they somehow made the Octopus not only flavorful but butter soft.
Surf and Turf – the steak was Wagyu, so it was butter soft, and the Lobster was ok, very plain.
Lobster Mac – you can even see it in the pic that there was not enough cheese to make it creamy delicious… it was like pasta with some cheese on top and very little lobster…
Chicken Fried Lobster – I’ve never seen this anywhere, so it was interesting… I don’t hate it, but I also didn’t love it. The crust was crispy, but the lobster felt mushy… I don’t know if maybe the lobster was not fresh, or that’s just what happens to lobster when deep fried?
For the price we paid, I really expected to be wowed, but alas, it was mediocre at best… Plenty of other great restaurants out there. I don’t see a reason to come back…
I would go back.
