Pampered and Rich
This happened the day before thanksgiving on 11/26/2025:

Upon entering the store, I encountered an unwelcoming atmosphere from the staff. As a potential first-time customer who’s new to the area, I had high hopes of receiving assistance with a specific bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that I had seen online. Unfortunately, I was not greeted by any staff member upon my arrival. Nevertheless, I proceeded to grab a shopping cart and place my purse and shopping bags from a previous store next door in it.

A representative from a separate company was at a set-up table offering wine samples, and she was very friendly. While interacting with her, an older, sassy, tall male staff member with glasses approached me from behind and abruptly demanded, “Excuse me, ma’am, I’m going to have to keep your bags with me!”. He was already holding his hands in position to grab my bags without me having a moment to process the situation.
Startled by his abruptness, I inquired, “Even if they are in the shopping cart?” to which he responded, “Yes. It is our policy, and we do it to everyone…”. I responded, “Okay, well, let me secure them first,” and proceeded to tie up my shopping bags while everyone stared at me.

He continued hovering over me, ready to swiftly grab them. When I attempted to hand him the first bag, he had already placed his fidgety hands on my purse, so I promptly stopped him, informing him that it was my purse. He responded, “Okay. Well, I’ll make sure to keep my eyes on it!” to which I replied, “No, you are not taking my purse. I will hold onto my purse, but I can give you the shopping bags. I have never had someone go to grab my purse in that manner.”. He rolled his eyes and proceeded to go behind the register counter, placing my shopping bags, which included food items, on the filthy FLOOR… not even a counter! The representative at the wine sample table repeatedly apologized on his behalf and informed me that she was affiliated with a separate company and had never witnessed nor experienced such an encounter.

Upon observing other patrons entering the store after me, I noticed that the staff member did not demand to take their bags/purses. After conversing with the representative at the wine sample table and discussing that unruly interaction, I decided to return the shopping cart and take my business elsewhere as there were other stores that carried the same bottles of wine that I was going to purchase.
I requested my bags back from the staff member, as I found it extremely UNHYGIENIC that he had placed them on the floor rather than a higher up surface. Without my inquiry, he reiterated that it was store policy for them to collect customers’ bags. I reiterated that it was inappropriate for him to seize my purse in the manner he did, to which he responded with a dismissive and rude demeanor, waving his hand in my face (as if shooing me away) and mumbling under his breath with his back, turned to me. Just displaying both passive aggressive and aggressive behavior.

The staff at this store could significantlv improve its customer service by implementing a welcoming greeting to ALL patrons rather than just demanding bags from certain customers. Additionally, the eagerness to seize my bags and proceed directly to my purse was highly inappropriate. If staff didn’t trust me to walk around with my bags already in a cart where there’s only one way in the store and one way out then why would I trust them to “keep an eye on my purse”? Furthermore, placing my shopping bags on the floor was extremely UNSANITARY. Overall, I was made to feel unwelcomed, targeted, humiliated, rushed and dismissed. First impressions are crucial, and this entire interaction led me to decide against becoming a potential customer for this store. I should’ve read the previous reviews which also displayed other people of color at having issues with the staff at the store. Everyone please go where you feel welcomed and are supported. This store is not it.

Very clean and well-organized store. Prices are fair and the selection is surprisingly diverse. I found a few rare bottles I haven’t seen elsewhere.
Always a pleasure shopping here! The staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. They’ve got a great selection of wine, spirits, and craft beer. My go-to liquor store in the area.

If you have an out of state ID don’t bother shopping here, I’m 21 years old and they declined my REAL ID. Their ID scanner is trash and will not scan out of state EDIT: I came in to Liquorama the other day and was greeted by Cassie, very helpful and apologetic over the incident. Amazing prices and very knowledgable staff. Giving them a second chance and my future business

My go to wine shop stopped carrying my favorite wine. I searched several stores no one had it. So for the last 2 yrs. I settled for something else. I decided to expand my search an wow found it I may have to cross the river but we’ll worth the trip ,not to mention a great store with very helpful staff.

I have only shopped here 2 times and will not again. Each time I encountered the same lady, which may be way I’ve had such a negative experience. First visit, I arrived to the store 10 minutes before closing and she slammed the door in my face, not allowing me to shop. Second time and second chance for them…. same lady at the checkout (who refuses to wear her mask about her nose) was not thrilled that I forgot my driver’s license in my car. I forgot because I am trying not to bring my huge purse into stores (covid precautions), I apologized and said I would run out to my car quickly to get it. She proceeded to roll her eyes and tell me to hurry up. I will never shop here again and am really surprised that anyone does.
