Looove the place the owners are so sweet and the food was delicious tasted homemade. The pupusas were amazing the tortilla soup very heartwarming and the tamales delightful. The tacos al pastor were superb. Definitely coming back to enjoy the rest of the menu. It was a very special experience. I’m glad to have found this hidden jewel that leaves you with no regrets and a smile in your heart and tummy. Best of luck to Don Carlos and the Ladies

The pupusas were delicious and the guacamole was so fresh, I even bought more for the road. The owners were very welcoming and the ambiance was great.

Very small place. Friendly and accommodating service. My wife said the tortilla soup was as good as she’s ever had and definitely not overhyped in other reviews. The tamales are another story: They are claimed to be homemade and I don’t doubt it. I ordered pork and the pig must have walked through the masa on stilts. See the pic. I’ve got shoestrings thicker than the meat. If masa is your thing you’ll love them cause that’s about all there is.

Nice place to eat. Clean and spacious. Owner was nice. Ordered chorizo burrito with hibiscus water.(agua Fresca de Jamaica.) Loved it! At the end I bought a flan as a dessert, and I was in love!

Absolutely amazing! Strong drinks and authentic food! My family had the chicken and steak burrito, bean pupusas, chicken tamales, and arroz con pollo. I would 100% recommend all. The staff is very nice and super accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Best South American cuisine I have had in a while. Ask for the Campechano tacos with their sauces of different spice levels when you go. Would come back especially for the great service from our waiter too.

Burrito was delicious. Only reason 4 stars and not 5 was because the burrito was really expensive ($17) and the entire staff was absent during lunch. Like literally nobody. Once they gave me the burrito I didn’t see a single person for the next 30 minutes while I ate and even after I left and pulled away nobody was there. Lonely

The owner was a treat to chat with about El Salvador, his homeland and a place on our bucket list that we have not traveled yet. The pupusa’s were terrific as well as the tacos that were full of flavor. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area for a reasonably priced meal.

Sensational food
We found this wonderful family run eatery in a shopping centre outside the touristy historic district of St Augustine. We liked it so much that we came here 3 times during our 4 night stay at St Augustines. The dishes that we tried were:
Chicken tortilla soup – The soup was delicious – made with real chicken broth and full of fresh ingredients and flavour which was improved by the addition of 5 drops of habanero sauce as recommended by the owner Carlos. We had this every time we visited because we loved it!!
Biggest burrito pastor (spicy grilled pork) – made with paper thin flour tortillas and the perfect amount of rice, beans, lettuce, cheese and meat.
Taco salad campechano –fresh crunchy flour tortilla chips topped with lettuce, beans, cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, steak and chorizo.
Pupusas – delicious corn flatbreads stuffed with tasty porky chicharron and cheese.
Tacos – soft corn tortillas filled with spicy chorizo, topped with cilantro and finished with a squeeze of lime.
We loved the house made salsas too. The meals here are just sensational – they are made with love and pride and you can just taste it in the food!
