I spent a wonderful evening at Bar 12 with my parents and my partner, and we had the honor to sit at the bar and be served by Scout. What an amazing bar tender! Not only is she friendly, Scout is very a knowledgeable and skilled bartender. My group was open to cocktails so instead of ordering directly from the menu, we told Scout what we liked and didn’t like and they led each of us toward our perfect cocktail. The drinks were beautifully crafted and delicious. We look forward to visiting Newport again just to grab a drink from Scout!

Came here after dinner nearby and what a great little cocktail bar! The atmosphere is fantastic. Perfect for a little date night. The entire team, especially the bartenders, are so friendly. And not to mention, the drinks were unique, delicious, and you can tell they were thoughtfully made. Cannot wait to come back for some food in the future!

My husband and I stopped in Bar 12 to enjoy pre dinner drinks during our recent stay in Newport.
Bar 12 is a small and intimate setting. It definitely is best for small groups due to limited seating.
The menu is great and offers unique cocktails, in addition to beer and wine, for guests with differing palettes.
We had 4 different cocktails and enjoyed all of them equally. Although we didn’t have any food, the menu looked appetizing.
Darwin was a gracious bartender despite the busy crowd.
We will definitely return during our next trip! Highly recommend.

Its a nice little Newport bar with a speakeasy feel. It is open all weekend and opens at 4 pm on sundays. The catch is that regular meals are only served on Friday and saturday outside of those times its bar snacks only. I got the deviled eggs which were tasty!!

My fiancé and I stopped here on a Friday night for the first time. We had tried a handful of other bars in Newport that were all packed but when we walked into Bar 12 it was almost empty. I ordered the Secret Garden cocktail and was so impressed with the presentation! It tasted as good as it looked too! I stopped by again this past Friday with four of my friends and tried the lemon meringue drink this time. It was amazing- super sweet and tasted just like a lemon bar! The prices are really reasonable for the quality of the cocktails and the location. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or small groups, the bathroom was super clean, and overall I’m just really shocked it wasn’t more crowded both times I went!

The best food I’ve had in Newport. The drinks are incredible but the food is AMAZING. Definitely coming again!!! This place is very pretty as well, perfect for an instagram photo!!! If you come try the mussels, focaccia, and the deviled eggs. Angelina was our server and she was so sweet 🙂
