Fresh Chef Kitchen lives up to it’s name when it comes to their food. Appetizers and entrees are served fast and made of fresh gourmet ingredients. Well balanced flavors and seasonings will have your mouth begging for the next bite. Service was a little slow but I don’t expect much from a wait staff of teenagers. The only negatives were dirty silverware and the salt and pepper grinders had caked on foodstuff that made me not want to use them.

We just moved to the area and all I can say is we WILL be eating here frequently. The food was amazing, the service was spot on. The manager came by to ask us how our meal was, we explained it was our first time and she gave us dessert on the house AND a free dip appetizer for next time.

I got the Cajun trout and it was amazing, I can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

The food was fresh and very flavorful! If I had to make any suggestions, it would be to add a little seasoning to the grilled asparagus, but other than that, everything else tasted exceptionally great and perfect! Even the cobbler desert that comes with vanilla ice cream was splendid ! The manager is very attentive and hands-on, making sure restaurant and guests are well taken care of and satisfied. The whole experience was very much a ten star experience! And on top of that, my drink was never empty, and waitresses were very sweet!
Went back for a call in order and they gave me melted soup ice cream with my cobbler! ‍♀️

Our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to our incredible server, Ava. She was an absolute delight—polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind.

Visiting from Canada, we sought out a must-visit dining spot and were thrilled to discover this gem. Ava went above and beyond, not only guiding us through the menu but also sharing insights into the region’s famous dishes, local attractions, and even hidden culinary treasures. Her enthusiasm and warmth made us feel truly welcome, never once like an inconvenience. In fact, she even offered her personal contact in case we had any follow-up questions about the area—a gesture that spoke volumes about her dedication to hospitality.

Her expertise with the menu was evident, and her recommendations did not disappoint. My wife and I both ordered the salmon, accompanied by a variety of sides—fries, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and gravy—to experience a bit of everything.

The salmon was outstanding, earning a solid 8/10 for its flavor and preparation. The French fries were perfectly crisp and well-seasoned, while the asparagus was cooked to perfection, though a touch more butter would have elevated it further. The Brussels sprouts were incredibly flavorful, albeit in a slightly smaller portion than expected. The mashed potatoes, while tasty, could have been served a bit warmer. We also sampled the sweet tea, which was a delightful addition to our meal.

Despite these minor details, the overall experience was phenomenal. From the impeccable service to the thoughtfully prepared meal, everything exceeded our expectations. We left not only satisfied but also grateful for such a memorable dining experience.

Highly recommend—especially if you have the pleasure of being served by Ava!

I’m confused by the high reviews here. We decided to come here for lunch on a Saturday. Felt slightly uncomfortable as most of the wait staff were chatting by the hostess stand while only one waitress worked the entire floor. Service was slow but our waitress was kind. We both ordered the filet which came with a side and cost $21 as a lunch special steak meal.

I had to hold in my laughter when our “meals” arrived. Literally thought it was from the kids menu. Rubbery, over salted microscope piece of meat next to this colossal mound of mashed potatoes with cold bagged cheese on top.

The bathrooms are also extremely dirty and look to not have been cleaned in quite a long time.

The feel of the restaurant is dark, early 2000s vibe with large TVs and pub table tops/black booths- all in part don’t match the prices on the menu.

Needless to say, we definitely won’t be back.

Had the Ahi Tuna Salad, maybe the best salad I have ever had, the tuna was perfect and the freshly l
Sliced ginger was exceptional. Sofia was our waitress and was amazing, the rest of the staff and management were over the top. I wish all restaurants were like Fresh Chef Kitchen.

Very intimate atmosphere great service. Quinn was our server, and he rocked it: he gave great food suggestions, kept a smile on his face, and never left the table without making sure everything was good. Keep him around he was a breath of fresh air.
The food was ok. It’s just what I needed after getting out of the hospital. Nice home cooked lightly seasoned and fresh. I had salmon and cheese grits. We also had smothered chicken (provolone, onions and peppers) broccoli and mashed potatoes. Food was tasty.

Eaten at fresh chef before in Denver. We knew we loved the shrimp and grits. Planned to come here for Mother’s Day. Each ordered the shrimp and grits. I ordered the breakfast potatoes for brunch and he ordered a side of the mushrooms (which he had before and LOVED)
Shrimp and grits: shrimp was really overcooked, none of the bell peppers were cooked in mine but was in his. Maybe that is how they come but some consistency issues. But the flavor was really good. And very large portions
Mushrooms: the reduction was not reduced. It was a soup. But the flavor was still very good.
Breakfast potatoes: a simple dish that is a classic favorite. The most disappointing. No flavor at all. Too much oil in the potatoes and no seasoning whatsoever. Even ketchup couldn’t save them. The onions were cooked well but unless you ate the onion you couldn’t taste them with the potatoes.

Service was good. You don’t have a specific waiter which is a little confusing. We had three people ask about the same coke refill we needed but only after he sat with an empty glass for a good while. They also provided me with a gluten free menu which was awesome.

Atmosphere is great! Definitely 5 stars on that but unfortunately the food supersedes any thing else so we were left with a “meh”

Maybe we will try it again sometime and see. I will then update the review.

I was very surprised that my Portobello salad was fresh and delectable! I had a side of braised Brussels sprouts with garlic that was also delicious. The bartender brought me a russian mule that was refreshing and hit the spot. I’m so glad I chose this place for my one night out in Cornelius.

It was a rainy Saturday. We were in the mood for some healthy lunch. Came across this place. Upon entry, were sat right away: they had a huge menu with plenty of options.

Ordered the cilantro rice with chicken and a wrap. Also a soup of the day she Caesar salad.

All good was very good and plentiful. I would come back for lunch again.
