Food is great – Highly recommend!! Full disclosure, it’s inside a gas station and there is outside seating – But don’t let that discourage you from trying their amazing food!
I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Vindaloo and I’m Very happy with my takeout food. Both were flavorful, and each of the dishes had an authentic flavor and great taste (see pics).
The person taking my order has such a warm and welcoming personality.
This has to be one of the best Indo- Chinese restaurants in Galveston.

Okay, first of all, I have questions on all of these reviews. I was technically fooled by the reviews, which I’m not sure if bought or what!
So this place is a gas station and the Claimed to be restaurant Does not have any sitting area inside. You have to say it outside no matter how hot or cold it is, but that’s not even the concern.
After ordering the food, they had packed all these as to go, Even after telling them, it was a dine in. As soon as we open the boxes, there were a bunch of birds around looking for food, and of course flies too!
We ordered loaded chicken Nachos, chicken, biryani, and chicken lollipop.
First come to the Nachos, It could have not been any worse!! The shredded chicken were still frozen & tasted like from 5 years ago. Then the lollipops, what we got for our four year-old, Was not even cooked well inside as you can see the pictures, It was fully loaded with a lot of Red chili powder, And no taste at all. The biriyani was fortunately OK so we were able to eat some of that. I usually do not give any restaurant this kind of less rating, But could not think about more in case of this one. I wanted to give it possibly one star, but the staff was very well behaved. This is why I am giving it two.

Absolutely delicious! My two friends and I came because we saw how yummy the plates here looked in pics. After wandering the beach collecting glass we worked up an appetite and stopped by. It smelled amazing and we were very pleased with our dishes and how quickly the food was made especially since quality tasted great. We will be back thanks so much!!

The food was unbelievably good – fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The service was also excellent: friendly and attentive. They don’t have a lot of seating inside, but it’s the perfect spot for takeout. Definitely one of the best Indian options around if you’re looking for tasty food to go!

I found the Curry Lounge by doing a search on Google Maps. I wanted to find something around the area where I was stopping by in the morning on my last day in Galveston. I honestly wish I had looked earlier.
I mentioned that my favorite (matar paneer) was not on the menu, but Vadeesh (sp?) said they would make it for me. I said I was okay with picking off the menu, but he insisted. Wow!!! I chose the medium level of spiciness and I think it was the best for my situation. I also ordered the garlic naan. I was able to split and have half for lunch and half for dinner, but there was still leftovers (at least for me).
I would highly recommend that you give the Curry Lounge a try. Order your meal as takeout or sit at the tables outside on the side of the building. Just note that the Curry Lounge is located inside the gas station.

Hidden gem for sure. In all honesty I don’t like eating from Indian restaurants because my fiance cooks the best Indian food I’ve ever tried, but this place has restored my faith. The food was amazing! We ordered about 4 different plates and it was all delicious. We asked for medium spice and it was still on the spicier side so keep in mind if you don’t like too much spice (Of course we didn’t mind but I’m glad we played it safe) other than that 10/10. Dine in area is okay

The owners were extremely helpful and kind. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken korma, some butter naan, and chicken samosas. We enjoyed everything but the chicken korma was our favorite! Great sized portions and everything had lots of flavor. It was fast and they packed everything we needed like plates, napkins, and silverware as it is primarily a takeout spot. Don’t be hesitant because it’s inside of a gas station it was wonderful! Will definitely be returning

The Food was really good. It is located in a gas station, so it has a limited seating capacity. But if you are looking for a good Indo-Chinese (halal) food in Galveston, then you must visit this place.

We’ve gotten food from Curry Lounge several times now and each time the food has been great! The rice is soft and fresh and the naan is yummy! We usually get butter chicken and tikka masala and they’re both great. The people who work there are SO nice. It’s just inside the gas station and they have a little seating area outside.

I love Indian food and came across this place on the internet. Ive had a lot of Indian food across DFW and this is as good as the best of them. We had the goat curry, chicken tikka and butter chicken as well as samosas and Naan. I cant express how flavorful everything was. The owner is very kind and chatted a bit about how this place came to be. Don’t let this being in a convenience store fool you, the food is amazing and serving sizes are more than a person can eat in a single sitting. We will definitely be a repeat customer when traveling out this way. I wish I could give them 10 stars.
