Nice quite Restaurant. Service was good. There was enough seating space. We didn’t need to book. Its open for takeout. Served Chinese Food and Sushi. Buffet was R230 per person for all u can eat 14th June 2025. It has a conveyor belt and high chairs or normal chairs at tables. If u have the buffet they prefer if u order from the waiter or waitress. Less wastage.

We had a sushi buffet a couple of weeks ago. Not a good experience. Firstly the interior is tatty and run-down. The buffet menu was skimping on everything. For example: the salmon roses was almost all rice, a thin piece of salmon wrapped over it. Almost no topping. Disgusting. We ordered tempura prawns. No visible prawns, small piece of prawn wrapped in rice. The salmon hand roll was all rice with a tiny bit of salmon. And so it goes on and on. When we order the chocolate roses they were sold out at 7:30. Without apologizing or giving us other options or a refund. Not worth wasting your money there. They either have to up their game big time, mainly in terms of quality or close down.

While not the most jaw dropping scenery, the establishment is always spotless and the owner/staff go above and beyond to deliver the best possible service everytime I visit. Out of all the sushi/Chinese restaurants I’ve been to (it’s alot) Yang Yang dominates opposition effortlessly. The freshest and most affordable sushi I’ve ever had! So even if this meant that I’d have to sit on a sidewalk under a tree to dine here again – It would be worth it.

I am someone who loves to explore new restaurants, and it is important to me that food meets my expectations in terms of cost. One thing i can say for sure is that this place beat my expectations completely. The sushi is AMAZING.
The Yuppi Roll is absolutely to die for if you are a cream cheese fan. The waiters are very friendly and i didn’t wait long for my food to arrive. The value for money is great.
This is definitely one of the best places i have come to in Cape Town for good sushi, definitely in my top 5. I honestly wish i had a bigger stomach to just eat more here.
I highly recommend this place if you want to try something new, you will not be disappointed. I will he coming here a lot more frequently.

The food is absolutely shocking. Overcooked dry sweet and sour pork with thick batter coating. Undercooked raw flour dumplings. Over salted bland chicken noodles and slivers of extremely dry crispy chilli chicken that is coated in a sweet sauce.

I always loved going here on a frequent basis, but it has been a while now that I have noticed that the basic cleanliness and hygiene of the sushi bar has declined dramatically. Food debris on the floor. Knifes being wiped by dirty cloths. It put me off going to eat there again.

Our waitress was really wonderful and very accommodating. The belt was very poorly stocked, so you had to order food. We didn’t have to wait very long for our order, which was a pleasant surprise. They put a strange barbeque-ish sauce on some of the sushi, which wasn’t very appetizing, but the chinese food and the rest of the sushi was good. The decor could also an upgrade as the interior is very shabby and the tables are VERY close together. It wasn’t very busy when we went, but I can’t imagine that you’d have a good experience if all the tables were occupied. There would be no way to comfortably navigate around other customers to get to the belt or for your server to get to you. Don’t come for the experience. Rather order take away. The restaurant has a great deal of potential. Buffet is R189, which is a little cheaper than most.

I went their with my partner for the buffet and it was absolutely amazing! The service was quick and our waitress was very nice and polite. The food was really delicious and and beautiful. I would highly highly recommend Yang Yang!

This little place has a lot to give and has excellent sushi. When I buy sushi I buy it for the texture of the rice is this place nails it on the rice and the rest is just topping that. Will recommend them any day. Order ahead on weekends and evenings since they can become very busy. And an extra is that they are one of a few sushi places that serves seared tuna sashimi.
