Great experience and delicious hot pot. The meats were great, the broth options were all delicious (they let you try them first if you want), and the self serve section was huge with lots and lots of options. Come hungry and leave satisfied. No wonder this place is very popular

Such a fun and unique dining experience! You choose your soup base, then build your own broth where you cook all your veggies, noodles, and proteins.
There’s a huge veggie and ramen bar, plus an amazing seafood bar with lots of options. At the table, you order your meat (beef or chicken), which comes sashimi-style you slice it yourself and cook it in the boiling soup. Super interactive and different.
The staff is very friendly. It does get busy, so come with patience and enjoy the process. Totally worth it.

Quality (and quantity). My expectations were low, but I left very satisfied. The self-serve section was super clean, and spread out enough so one person won’t hold up a line of people. The meats were good, but my favorite were Toro beef, tongue, and prime Angus shoulder. The scallops were great, and the peeled shrimp was appreciated. The veggies were clean and fresh. Most importantly, I did not see any flies! The shitake broth was what I got, and was great after mixing in veggies and meats. Highly recommend this place.

I’ve had a hot pot a few times before, but this was really a standout experience!
Pick a sauce to cook everything in, and order some beef, pork or chicken to cook in your personal hotpot… but the real star is the seafood and vegetables bar. So many great noodle types, shrimp, scallops, mussels, several types of fish as well. Pile them up on your plate and bring them back to cook with your proteins.
They also have a sauce bar that is just brilliant. I did a sweet chili, garlic and scallions mix. And our very cool server brought his favorite version with some kick and citrus flavors. Wow!
Highly recommended experience, especially for several people and guests to town.

It is an exceptional hot pot restaurant that offers many different and various food items on a buffet style. They have 5 basic tasteful broth and one seasonal one, definitely there is one that suit your taste bud. This All you can eat buffet can fill you up easily. They have high quality meat and portion is just right on each order. You can customize your own sauces for dipping , many different kinds of veggie to choose, last not least dessert and fruit will make a good ending for a meal.

First time at soup leaf during the new year and the vibes were perfect. Staff explained how to do everything with ease.

None of us like to cook for Thanksgiving so we were looking for a place to meet. This was almost a last minute call, but i’m grateful I made the decision to meet here with family. Most of the guests had never done hot pot, but in the end, everyone enjoyed the experience.
We were asked to leave after two hours, because the table had been reserved for another party.
Everything was fresh and tasty. The big unexpected hits of the night were the tofu skin and the ube ice cream (Japanese purple sweet potato).
ACE was our waiter and did an excellent job taking care of everyone at the table.
If I’m ever in austin for lunch or dinner.I’m going to revisit this place.

Time to update lol since it first opened and my first review I’ve been here over a dozen times or more lol it is the best hot pot place in town and a top pick for me now. Ever since they said they took out MSG and it’s truly an AYCE it has just gotten better and better. It’s always clean. Lunch prices is affordable. The buffet bar is ample and always clean. The soup stocks are good. The specials are fun! The ramen is the best and the sauces are varied. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Join their rewards program and get points to use after every visit. The ube ice cream is the best please do not take it away. We’ve celebrated many bdays and special occasions from here since it opened and I will keep recommending this place as the go to for hot pot in town. By far the best even rivals many in Houston. Keep it up Soup Leaf! Thank for always accommodating large parties and keeping things clean and fresh which is a must for hot pot!

Had a reservation for a party of 5 at 5 pm on a Wednesday and we were greeted and seated as soon as they were open for dinner. It was most of our first times at a hot out and our waiter Joel (I think that was his name at least) was great at explaining everything and even brought me a sample of the corn tea. I wasn’t a fan of it but I appreciated the offer haha. LOTS of vegan/vegetarian options as well as meat options. Everything was so delicious. It was very slow when we decided to come which was nice because we had the whole buffet to ourselves but I’d love to come on a busy day to see what everyone is cooking up and steal some ideas from them. The self serve ube icecream was also delicious! I will definitely be back with a bigger appetite. My expectations were exceeded!
