Genuinely have not had a worse experience with insufferable staff in over a year.
There were literal ants on the bar. You can find cheaper and less watered down drinks practically anywhere. (I think I can get more drunk off tap-water.) The food’s not horrible, but good luck finding anyone capable of making a proper steak. The only dish I’ve ever enjoyed at this restaurant was the Wonton Nachos, and even that was overpriced and performative of a meal.

Station 1 Bar & Grill is a fantastic spot in Harlingen! Their Red Irish Ale on draft was excellent, and the patty melt was amazing—I opted for the brioche bun instead of the ciabatta, and it was a great choice! Our server, Catalina, took great care of us, making the experience even better. The vibe is super relaxing, and the place has a cool, inviting atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit for great food, drinks, and service in the area!

A surprisingly pleasant locale. I appreciate their efforts to showcase microbrews, most local-ish, but with an impressive catalog of “the usuals” for the less expansive palate. The food menu is an interesting blend of well-crafted standards and upscale offerings you don’t often see in Harlingen. I suppose my one complaint would be the pricing: yes, the food is good, but often expensive for what it is (e.g. 7 smaller-albeit-tastier-than-a-McNugget boneless chicken wings runs $12, fairly tiny tacos run $4 a pop). Service was spot on, the space is clean, modern-ish, and nicely varied. Definitely worth a tumble.

We started with the wonton nachos based on a recommendation by Cobra (who also rocked the soundtrack for the place) and they were great. Imagine regular nachos but better. I had the Hawaiian burger and it was very tasty. Spam and pineapple combo is different and worth a try. Finished with the peach cheesecake and it was also a great recommendation. We came for an early lunch and the staff were very friendly, especially Ayissa. I liked the dark atmosphere, there is a lounge which I can imagine would be very comfortable while sipping on one of their multitude of drink offerings. Check this place out, I’ll be back on a Saturday so I can try the ocean water shot.

Sept 9, 2024 visit….. great visit, great service. Tried something different. Terry Chicken pasta, absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend it……………….Hidden gem located in the Medical side of town. This restaurant used to be a fire station back in the day. We’ve visited a couple of times but only for drinks and had an ok experience. This was our first time eating here. Stopped in for brunch. Wow, night and day difference. Sat ourselves and server attended us almost immediately. Good variety of food, priced within reason. We started with the fried mozzarella bites….not bad, thumbs up. Then moved on to main course. I had the Croissant Sandwich with sweet potato fries and the wife had the Bistec Wonton Nachos. Croissant was delicious. Crispy bread with all the fixings as messy as can be… Delicious. The nachos were really surprising. It was alot more than we expected. Very fresh and well served. My wife loved the fact that the chips did not sog out right away. Very well served. This visit was a lot better than the others. Definitely be back to try something else.

If you are looking for a cool spot to have a gourmet drink and gourmet food but in a low key bar/grill setting this is your place.
Food was amazing.
We had the wonton nachos and the hummus.
Price was roughly $10 for hummus and $14 for nachos.
In today’s world that’s just a normal price.
Difference here being the quality.
Super fresh and delicious
Service was just as quality as the food. Greeted at the door and our waiter checked in but didn’t bug.
Overall experience was perfect. The outdoor patio was where we sat to enjoy a cool south Texas night and have drinks.
I almost forgot the best part.
Friday night old fashioneds $5!!!! Can’t be beat.
