As a local in Port Orchard this will be our new local Mexican restaurant to go for drinks and food.

Got the Famous street tacos. My wife got the carne asada and I got the Al Pastor which both were grilled fresh along with the rice and beans. She got a great tasting margarita which was well worth the price. We will be definitely coming back. The food portions based on the price were huge and delicious. Their salsa bar was an awesome addition as well.

I stopped in for a Margarita today around 3:00. There was only one person there. The bartender was nice enough. I asked for a drink menu and he said they don’t have one. I said, Okay, well, what flavors do you have? He rattled off a few, he said Cadillac Margarita.. I said OK, just give me one of those since I was kind of in a celebratory mood. I knew I would only have 1 anyway, it’s been a while. The drinks were poured pretty heavily handed, which I’m not complaining about. The place looked dusty and tired. It’s been about eight years since I’ve been there. When it was time for me to go, he said $19.25. I’m sorry but three o’clock in the afternoon, should be something offered for happy hour? I don’t mind paying more money for something a little more premium but $19.25 at a little hole in the wall in the middle of the afternoon for an average drink? I wouldn’t have ordered it if I had a drink menu. Then when I cash out, I don’t even get a receipt! I suppose I should have just paid with a credit card but I happened to have cash. Every paying customer should have a receipt for transparency and every restaurant should have some kind of drink menu in my opinion. After I paid for it, finished my drink, the bartender was so busy on his phone with his back towards me, didn’t even realize I left. The place has definitely gone downhill as far as cleanliness and service. Granted I did not buy any food. There were no little menus on the table or bar. It was just a weird experience.

We were reminded how much bang for your buck you get here. The portions are so generous we ate off of ours for 3 meals! The sauce and condiment bar is a really nice touch. Its dark inside but the ac worked well. I had a hard time understanding the employee due to language barriers, lack of eye contact and fast talking. He was very quick at everything which is great when you’re in a hurry for lunch. Way better than the other nearby Mexican options. 4x the food as the 2 local trucks and way more authentic than the one by Fred Meyers. We will be back for sure

Answer: Blue Agave

If you are lucky enough to have a Blue Agave near you then you need to be going! Blue Agave offers a great selection of Mexican food and by complete comparison is an upscale Chipotle. If you order ANY of the Burritos you will not be disappointed. I grew up in Port Orchard WA and this Blue Agave is near my house. I can say honestly that any item on the menu is good. A few of the best are: Burrito, Tequitos, Tortilla Soup, Shrimp Tacos.

The employees are always nice and they really do work hard so show them some appreciation. Thanks for the great experiences! – Colter

Man! I haven’t eaten at this spot for years. I am so glad to see that it’s still open and doing great! My boyfriend and I were that couple that came in close to closing, and the employee working was so welcoming. We mentioned that we were sorry for coming in so late, and they just pleasantly told us not to worry. They could stay until 10 and they could also use the extra hours. So we ordered some burritos and margaritas, and Holy Guacamole! I forgot how HUGE and delicious the burritos are here. The food was excellent, the margaritas were limey and the service was outstanding! Great job Blue Agave! Gracias!

Great tasting chicken enchiladas in red sauce. No fatty chicken, but nicely chopped grilled chicken breast meat. Flavorful sauce. I like having a choice of refried, pinto or black beans and the pintos were great. The Mexican rice was very flavorful. And the portion size allows for leftovers. I placed the order over the phone and the order was ready when I arrived less than 10 minutes later.

Amazingly mediocre food, barely lukewarm chilis rellenos. And one of the RUDEST people I’ve experienced in a restaurant in many years. I had heard that the Port Orchard Blue Agave had better food than the Gig Harbor one and a better atmosphere. So wrong on both counts. The people who run and staff the GH location are lovely, friendly, welcoming, and kind. The Port Orchard place was the opposite. There was an older gentleman in the kitchen area and a younger guy behind the counter making the burritos and interacting with me and my sister. He was awful. The older gentleman came over to ask if everything was okay, and is probably the owner. It wasn’t worth the time to explain how mean and rude the counter guy was, I was just praying the poor older guy wasn’t the younger one’s father because no one deserves a jerk like that for a son.
