Came here with my boyfriend, great atmosphere and customer service. I loved our waitress Inge, she was very friendly and helpful. I got the sarma, it was amazing it reminded me of home when my Opi and Oma would make it. I would definitely check out the drink list too they have a lot of great brandy’s, I recommend the Raspberry brandy (opsesija) they also make a great old fashioned. This a top tier place with great food, I will be back!

Incredible, this place was recommended to us by a local we ran into a bar across town, so glad he did! The Burek was crispy, flaky, filling goodness and the Serbian salad is astounding. I cannot recommend this place enough. Small family run feel with excellent everything and no the picture does not do the Burek justice.

We had a fabulous time here. We were 7 people in total and made a reservation. They accept cash or cheque only.
The service was absolutely amazing, very attentive staff and very kind people. Not only that but the food was amazing – some of the best Serbian food I’ve ever had. I recommend the Burke completely, but it can take up to an hour to bake.
Recommend for groups of any size, or couples. Very cozy.

As a Serb, it’s wonderful to enjoy familiar flavors of dishes I grew up on. 4 stars on the goulash. Sarma – was a bit over cooked, sadly, I was there for the Sarma but left a bit disappointed – for the price point it needs to be great!!

Call ahead of time for reservations and pre-order the burek! It took 45-60 minutes to cook so unless you have something to do while waiting, pre-order! You can also request for the burek to be ready 15 or 30 minutes after your arrive time if needed.
The beef burek is a paper-thin and crispy “pie” and simple ground beef inside it. It feels like biting into a giant beef croissant. The waiter suggested to try the cheese burek so I will need to do that next time.
The serma is savory and great to cut through the beefiness and carb-heavy of burek. You should definitely order them together.
The whole meal will be perfect with a cold beer!

Took forever to finally stop here, but so glad I did! The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was romantic and cozy. Will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Three Brothers was absolutely fantastic. If you’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, make it happen, it won’t disappoint.
You can expect to be a bit packed in to a quaint, homey, authentic atmosphere that has preserved both family and Shlitz history. The staff is fantastic, extremely friendly, helpful, attentive.
Then served on china you may recognize from your grandma’s fancy set will come AMAZING food. The beef burek was absolutely fantastic (well worth the 45 minute wait). The lamb was tender and flavorful. Grape leaves appetizer was also quite good. I’ll be coming back soon to try more dishes. For dessert we had clearly the best warmed baklava of my life. All of the food tastes like your grandma’s cooking (assuming your grandma cooked like my grandma, which let’s be honest, she didn’t), authentic and packed with flavor.
This gem of a place is the antithesis to what “fine dining” has become, and it’s fantastic.
Find a date on your calendar and reserve several hours with good company to slowly enjoy a meal as it should be served and enjoyed. Even with all this prices are still reasonable, and cash/check only don’t forget.
To Three Brothers, thank you for preserving history and maintaining a dining atmosphere that is not easy to come by these days, but is how food should be served. We had an absolutely excellent experience and will soon be back for more!

The food is phenomenal; the burek is a must-try – its crust is divine, sarma and sausage are very good, our kids loved the chicken dumpling soup we had to order seconds.
Their service is even better! We showed up underdressed on Father’s Day with 2 kids and no reservations. They went above and beyond to accommodate our kids, including the waitress and the owner who stopped by multiple times to bring activities, drinks, and deserts specifically for the kids.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner, we can’t wait for the next one!

I lived in Bay View back in the early 90s and always wanted to try this restaurant. Fast forward to 2025, and well…I finally made it. From the looks of the decor, Three Brothers may have kept everything the same since well before the 90s. Check out the pay phone near the entrance, the old Sclitz beer signs from the 60s, an old SONY stereo system, and quaint family style table and chairs. Old world charm.
The food and service matches the decor. We enjoyed both beef and cheese & spinach burek – call ahead because they each take an hour to create and bake. Other entrees were chicken pilaf, and pork shishkabob. Apps included stuffed grape leaves and Serbian salad. All unique and tasty treats that are truly different. You’ll find a selection of Serbian beers, wines and beverages to pair with your meals. I have to say, 30+ years was a long wait, but this is one of Milwaukee’s oldest and most interesting locations to have the quintessential Old World meal.
