Garden City, Kansas not a very big area. Definitely not a lot of choices for steakhouses. This steakhouse came recommended by one of my patients. I was informed that it was one of the best steak house in town, although the population is only 26,000 there’s not much here.
The outside looks like a cement building. The entrance is on the side. They have a cute renovated outdoor patio that is secured with a cement wall. The inside when you walk in you immediately at the hostess stand, and then off to the right is the bathrooms. They have some cute western photos hanging up throughout the restaurant. Once you go past the hostess stand, you enter into the huge open floor dining area with bar. In the back, they have some seating in a small area that has a carved out window for when they have bingo night with a DJ. They also have another area off to the side. That is another small dining area. The dining area looks remodeled and updated. The bathrooms look remodeled it’s a mixture of wood floors and carpet throughout the restaurant. From the inside of the restaurant to the dining area to the bar and into the bathroom is very clean.
The menu offers a variety of choices from fish, chicken burgers to steaks. I got the appetizer potato skins. They were good your regular potato skins that you would have at any restaurant. They serve complementary rolls with a honey cinnamon butter. They were served hot and tasted amazing. For dinner, I got a filet mignon with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad. The side salad was nothing special tasted like it came straight out of a bag however, the ranch was tasty and it is made in house. The mashed potatoes were good, but definitely not the best I’ve had. The gravy is regular gravy brown and the filet mignon was tender and tasted like it just came off a grill.
My server was Alexis and she was prompt. She greeted me. She offered suggestions on the menu. She recommended her items that she thought were the best. She checked on me frequently after my food arrived. She was attentive and she was very kind. The restaurant manager also checked on me several times which was nice because most restaurants barely check on you one time as a manager.
Overall, this restaurant was good, especially with not many options in town. It definitely gave a steakhouse with diner vibes. They have music night they have bingo karaoke. Again, it’s a very small town so kind of gives you a little mixture of your food but also a good nightlife after 9 o’clock.

A nice place with a Christmas tree in June! The steak I had was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The server had several tables going but still provided stellar service. I’ll eat here again the next time I’m in Garden City.

I was in town for one night on my way to some place else when I found this place. Overall a pretty good steak at a very reasonable price. The vibe is laid back family style. The staff was super friend and very much on the ball. I suggest you try the fried pickles for a tasty side dish.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant!! Hometown feel for atmosphere with homemade sides (amazing twice baked potatoes) hand cut steaks and my sirloin was fork tender!! My boyfriend had the house prime rib special and stated it was LEGIT!! Friendly staff !!

Came here for a steak and sides. Picked out 8 oz sirloin with a baked potato, the twice baked were out. The other side was mac n’ cheese. I was expecting baked mac n cheese. Instead, I am presented with a bowl of boxed mac n’ cheese. Not even the good stuff like Kraft either. Just dried out, not even warm, generic macaroni. The powder is not cheese. The rolls are hollow and was given a cinnamon butter for it. It was too sweet and weird for a steak meal. Those rolls took over 30 minutes to get to us too. The meal took 10 more minutes. We were seated at 11:10 and we did not see any food until 11:46 pm. For 53 dollars, this was just sad. Please shut off the country music. It is too loud and is not relaxing.

I would recommend this place. Seated quickly, drinks immediately. Orders taking promptly. Chicken fries were delicious mashed potatoes and twice baked potatoes wonderful. Overall I would say amazing!!

Went once years ago and it was decent. Tried to go again during the day on a Friday and it was a disaster. We ordered two appetizers and two drinks. The bartender didn’t know how to make the very popular mixed drink and we never got our appetizers while we watched everyone around us get their food. We said we politely we needed to leave after paying for drinks and there were no apologies and no free food. We had to sit for awhile to let our drinks wear off since we didn’t get any food in our stomachs. Gonna pass next time.
UPDATE, 8/2023: Tried again because a family member wanted to go. Staff seems confused and unhappy. Chicken fried steak was slimy/rubbery underneath the breading. Think frozen Salisbury steak. Gravy is from a can or packet. Drinking glasses were FILTHY and water tasted funky. Today I have stomach problems after eating only half of it. Do not recommend. Good reviews seem to be from when they first opened which no longer apply to its current state. Steer clear for health reasons.
