Alex’s Royal Grill is a family owned restaurant located in Troy, Michigan. We relocated our business here in March of 2009. Our former restaurant, was located at Mc Nichals and Greenfield, which is now owned by a family member, under the name Kings Royal Grill. Our goal here, at Alex’s Royal Grill Family Restaurant, is to provide our customers with a friendly atmosphere, great services, and the best food in town.

Table was a bit dirty. Smaller dining area than I had expected.
Ordered a large Greek salad, grilled chicken pita, turkey Reuben with side turkey links. $45.87
The wait staff all work in concert together here and help each other out with orders and condiment drop-offs and the like.
The Greek salad comes with Mosley iceberg lettuce. Looked rather anemic and lack luster of color. The tomatoes for the Greek and the chicken pita are not ripe.
The turkey links are so-so, rather rubbery texture though.
The deli turkey is thick cut, salty and the rye bread is soggy.
The chicken pita meat is overcooked. The pita fell apart while my husband was eating, so he took the small pitas from my Greek salad to make mini pita sandwiches.
Eating at places like this helps me to better appreciate better quality food at other spots. Glad we had a good brunch last weekend.
I am not sure how this place has over a 4 star, our food today was maybe over a 2 star.
Staff is pleasant enough and works as a team.

We went there for Mother’s Day. There was no wait and we were seated very quickly. Our waiter, Sam was awesome. I had the Philly steak and cheese omelette, delicious. My son had the corned beef omelette, very enjoyable, and my daughter had the very berry french toast, yum. Everything was hot. Nice atmosphere, nice people. A definite hidden gem.

Just off the beaten path, an excellent one-off joint perfect for a quick breakfast. Charming wait staff takes care of the whole room while the cooks slip around each other in well-practiced kitchen choreography. Watching the service reminded me of Supertramp’s Breakfast in America album cover, complete with smiles. This hole-in-the-wall is “a beautiful thing.”

I order take out from here frequently as it is close to work and the food is amazing! The past 2 days we have done a large group order for lunch and both times everything was perfect. All of our modifications were correct, and every side of dressing and condiment requested was accounted for. I’m always impressed but even more so now. We all sit very closely in our department so it is usually very LOUD, but its been quiet for the last 30 minutes so you know the food is good!
Plus, all the homemade soups, are amazing! Especially love the Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Broccoli.

One of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch. When you ask for an egg white omelette, it’s fluffy and delicious. Their french fries and quesadillas are scrumptious. There are usually interesting specials to choose from as well

Great food. Pretty solid service. My wife unfortunately, is gluten free. They did not have many options and were not willing to sub things like for toast. She was just kind of put off by the short response that no subs could be made for fruit or something, and nothing offered in replacement.

Pleasantly astounded by the delicious lemon and blueberry pancakes. You must try them!! They are served freshly warm and have a wonderful taste and a sweet lemon tange that tastes like it should be on the menu of a high end restaurant. I also tried their greek omelet and was happy to see the generous portions of gyro meat in the omelet. Please make your way to this establishment to have delicious food and feel like your in the company of welcoming family.
