Hidden gem just south of Tomahawk, WI! Quaint spot right on Spirit River Flowage with a cozy atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The Hungarian mushroom soup was phenomenal—easily a standout. We also had the pork medallions served with butter noodles and a pizza, and everything was delicious. Definitely worth the stop and one we’ll be back to again!

This was our first trip to Mama D’s. I loved the atmosphere and the waitress and owner were so friendly! I The food tasted wonderful! It was great not having TVs in the bar. Very good flavors in both our meals. My only complaint was that i ordered a caprice pizza and they forgot to put one of the ingredients on the pizza-(the prosciutto was missing) so i was disappointed that one ingredient was not on it because I was looking forward to the complete flavor and the fact it was 19.50 for a 12” pizza. I don’t mind paying for freshly made good pizza but i didn’t get what i paid for. However I didn’t say anything because it was busy and we had already waited 40 minutes to get our food. Like i said both dishes were very good so if i would have got what i ordered i would have given them a 5 out of 5 stars.

Wow! What a wonderful establishment. The pizza is off the charts, served with a pepper olive oil drizzle instead of pepper flakes (if you choose, a traditional herb olive oil is also available). Plus, Mama D and staff were the friendliest people you could meet, no joke… Just awesome!!!!

Best pizza in the northern/central Wisconsin area! The dough is homemade and deliciously airy, with just the right amount of crispiness, and the toppings are extremely fresh. The staff are very kind and personable. Can’t recommend Mama D’s enough!

Authentic Italian food in a quant waterside setting. Prices are reasonable, food was fabulous and portions were generous, dipping oil was optional and a nice touch. Old fashioneds were muddled, We’ll definitely be back.
