Buzy Burrito Taqueria

Social Profile:

Family owned, created, and prepared — can’t get much more family. Mama Julia’s recipes tweaked by her three sons are mouth watering (molcajete, fajitas, siete mares) and sometimes bring tears to your eyes (think mariscos a la diabla). We have the real Mexican standards, too: Menudo (daily), tripa tacos, tacos y burritos de lengua, enchiladas de mole (chocolate), and birria tacos.

I stopped here for dinner after work for a chimichanga. It just had a lot more flour tortilla than I would prefer. Did not have that much beef filling. It was really hard for me to use my plastic knife and fork that was given to me to cut through the chimichanga. I like the beans and the rice was good too. It’s just they only gave a little bit of rice for some reason but it’s all right they got to make their money

Pretty decent tacos and burritos for a sit-down restaurant. The chips and salsa are delicious. Margaritas are tasty. The tacos are well seasoned but a bit dry – you don’t notice the dryness after adding salsa verde and lime though. Had the same issue with the burrito.

Service is friendly but they tried to push more margaritas on us a bit too hard. Prices are a tad bit more expensive than similar restaurants. Decent place for tacos if you want to avoid Buford Hwy.

This place is the absolute best spot for Mexican food! Everything is homemade and you can tell…it doesn’t taste the exact same like most spots around town. We drive 15 miles to get it instead of going to 10+ nearby our house.

We’ve visited this place many times because of the affordable price. Good Mexican food in a cheap looking restaurant, I can’t complain.

First timers. Our kids have visited in their Spanish classes from school, but we had not yet been as a family. Excellent dishes from the enchiladas to the chimichanga and the Buzy Burrito. Great place for authentic options.

I ordered the el alambre. The bacon really threw it off. Can’t remember the last time i had bacon in my mexican food. The steak chimichanga with rice and beans was delicious. My 8 year old nephew loved the fried tilapia. Poor thing burned his tiny hand on the scorching plate though. I accidentally touched it in order to move it away from him and that thing was SO hot. The waitress never mentioned “it’s extremely hot, don’t touch it”. The $3 pop sickles were freezer burnt and gross, can’t say I’d recommend them. Besides those few hiccups, I’d give them another try.

We’ve been to a few Mexican restaurants in the area, but keep coming back to Buzy Burrito. The food is delicious and sufficiently authentic; the staff are friendly, helpful, and patient; and the dine in restaurant is modest, but clean and enjoyable! They have some of the best salsa in the area!

I’d especially call attention to the fact that when we recently came here for dinner, we arrived just 20min before closing time, so I thought the chips might be a bit stale or some flack for being the last people in; but the chips were fresh and hot, the wait staff was nothing but smiles, and everything was clearly make fresh to order! I’d have forgiven not having all this since we were just getting in under the line, but they made every effort to be above and beyond!

If there’s one thing that could be improved, it’s that the parking lot has a pothole large enough to swallow and stall a small car, though this is no fault of the restaurant. drive alert!

Food was fresh and hot, but the chicken was undercooked in both the burrito and quesadilla, which is a very big health hazard. Refried beans lack seasoning. Loved the green sauce.

The Food was delicious. There are many options to choose from, my family had a hard time deciding what to eat Being the biggest Foodie I chose several plates Actually Tacos (Grouper and Tilapia) and a full plate. I Tacos (Especially Fish Tacos)!!! Both Fish Taco we’re good, but the Grouper Taco was the best! Entree’s was El Molcajete and Grilled Snapper. The Snapper was savory and different, I will have no problem ordering it again, but I want try other Entrees. The Molcajete received a good review as well. The service was attentive, with a family vibe. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back!
