Locally owned cafe using local & organic ingredients whenever possible. Serving breakfast and lunch with a full espresso bar, great tea selection, and fresh baked goods made from scratch (including the best chocolate chip cookies ever!). We have a dog friendly porch for the warmer months and a cozy fireplace for the colder months. You’ll also find locally made gifts such as kitchen towels, jam, coffee beans, tea tins, greeting cards and other art works. During the harvest season we sell locally raised produce and eggs. Come in and check us out!

Even though it had a great presentation both dishes lacked flavor. The green chile saved it a bit but overall very bland and a bit on the pricey side for what you get. Not very filling. Coffee selection was good and actually strong/tasty (if u like coffee) as they brew to order. The people there were very snobby unfortunately and made the experience less pleasant due to the constant loud complaints. Maybe it was just because they were old and in a bad mood…. Restaurant itself is a cute cottage feel with a fireplace in the seating area which was my favorite part of the experience.

Always such a great time! Everyone is so kind and helpful ☺️ I got a latte with oat milk and they suggested I add lavender! Definitely getting it again! So good!

This is a cozy, cute place and great looking food and items for purchase. Stopped here after a hike because it was convenient. However, the food was okay, not wonderful, even though it all looked amazing. I wish it had been better. The flavors just didn’t come together well, the cranberries on the salad were hard too. I didn’t get a choice of dressing and I don’t like lemon as a dressing. Met the owner who is super nice and all the service was wonderful though. Give it a try. Maybe the food choices were the wrong ones this day??

Holy moly that was awesome! You should eat here!
Roots Farm Cafe provides delicious, beautiful, and filling meals served in a rustic, homey atmosphere by a skilled and attentive staff! Our whole family demolished our lunches – not one crumb left on our plates! It was so beautiful we dove in before remembering to stop and take pics. We ordered and split a garden salad, a chicken panini, a veggie wrap, and the soup of the day: chicken dumpling. We have some dietary restrictions and the staff was very clear about the ingredients are in each dish, plus they proactively offered a myriad of substitutions for any problematic ingredients.
Everything we ordered was amazing! We especially loved the pickled onions and lemon dressing on the salad, the tender chicken and crispy crust on the panini, that goat cheese tang paired with the roasted zucchini in the veggie wrap – just mm mm mmmM! The soup of the day was phenomenal, loaded with chicken and veggies and topped with tasty dumplings (with more on the side). This restaurant filled our hearts and souls today without breaking the bank.

Very nice, cozy, homestyle atmosphere. Service was good. Food was good. I appreciated the veggie variety in the garden salad. The dressing was a bit too sour. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the kitchen smells and smokes were all over the dining area. They need to figure out the ventilation system in the kitchen.

I loves Roots so much. It’s become my favorite weekly getaway from the city. Plenty outdoor seating, so sometimes will bring my dog
And when I DON’T bring my dog, Cigarette the cat keeps me company
Love the mocha coffee. Food is tasty as well; I love getting the German Breakfast to snack on while I use my laptop, or just some fancy toast with butter and (VERY good) jan which is a comfort food for sure.

What a cute, perfect place to stop for breakfast on our road trip! The 2 people working were so friendly, accommodating, and made good recommendations. The peanut butter banana fancy toast was delicious, and my husband loved the breakfast wrap with green chilis and the hot sauce that came with it. We got iced coffees and 2 warm muffins after they were suggested to us… also amazing. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch, we hope to return!

I found friendly staff, yummy food choices and a rustic cabin type atmosphere. I love the fact that their menu is plant-focused with meat having to be added to most dishes. They offer a number of handmade and locally produced items – great place for some last minute Christmas gifts.

Passed this restaurant the first time, and this time we made it in! So glad we did from the start we are greeted by Izzy who was exceptional she gave us menus and explained how to order which we we offered to find seating then go back to order. We ordered chicken panini which was good I feel like it needed a boost of flavor. The breakfast burrito with sausage was deemed great by my grandmother who is picky.. and I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage and spinach which was extremely good more green chili would have been better! Huckleberry Berry tea came unsweetened which was perfect for my grandma and they added passion fruit syrup to mine which was DELICIOUS. The lavender latte was probably the best one I have ever had!

So driving back from the Mosca peak hike, I decided to swing by for a small latte. This place is super cute, and I mean super cute. I feel like this is what my wife would built if she had to make a cafe.
This place seems environmental friendly with the paper to go cups, biodegradable cups. The interior has a nice little cozy cabin and wooden finish. I’m a huge fan of that. Plus the patio is nice.
As for the drink. I had a PSL, which is the go to drink during the fall season. Well, I totally missed they had a maple spiced latte. Curse my eyes for not seeing it.
I will come back and update my review, because they have some awesome veggie dishes. I think my wife will dig this place too. So, to be continued.
