Food was on POINT! I eat my steak rare, and this place didn’t disappoint. I had the 8oz sirloin with a fully loaded baked potato, my fiance ordered himself two meals, he was hungry hungry…he had the country fried chicken with gravy and the shrimp and lobster casserole. Everything was delicious, the service was fast, the hostess and waitress were friendly,and the atmosphere was relaxing. A little loud, but the place was packed, so the noise was expected. For 100 bucks, it was a great date night and I highly recommend.

We paid $4–$5 for fries tonight, and this is what we received. It felt disrespectful and inconsiderate. After working all day, all I wanted was to eat my food and go to bed. Instead, I opened the bag to find a few cold, stale fries, microwaved mac and cheese, and old chicken.
I will never go near this place again. The staff treated us well, absolutely no complaints about customer service, but the food itself was a 100% disappointment the moment we got home. You’re in the food service industry, yet nothing served was acceptable. It was horrible.
In the end, we did what we should have done from the start: cooked our own food. Everything we bought went straight into the trash.

The waitress at the Gardner, Ma. 99 was awesome taking care of me and my family. I grew up around the 99 but hadn’t been in a long time. Food was great, service was great and the drinks were tasteful. Sunday at 12:30 -10-26-2025. To the waitness, thanks for being who you are. Some can serve , others just can’t. I’ve eaten here many times and had a very good experience, however this time was an absolutely terrible experience. I arrived with my mom for an early dinner and in the entire left side section there was only one other group seated. We noticed immediately that the music was not only very loud but the songs were what you’d expect at a dance party. Extremely annoying and agitating.
We asked the server if she would mind turning it down so my mom and I could hear each other talking and she was very brisk and dismissive saying she’d “try” but it was all automated or some nonsense and she couldn’t do much.
When she returned she was more dismissive and rude, saying she had turned it down, which she did not.
She asked if we wanted to speak to the manager and we did. He was just as flip, and actually acted as though the music wasn’t loud. They had no interest in keeping our business so we left before ordering.
I will not be eating at this location again. I will take my business and my money elsewhere and I suggest others do as well.

Dined in earlier today with an old mentor/friend from university, and I had a positive experience. Ninety-Nine is one of my favorite restaurant chains, and I have always enjoyed the food here (today I had the fish filet tacos which I recommend to anyone who likes fish/seafood). Morgan, our waitress, is a beautiful young lady and she took good care of us. So, thank you Morgan and Ninety-Nine of Gardner for helping make my get together with a dear mentor meaningful!

We have never been to this location and I can say now this is by far my favorite out of all of them. We were greeted by Ashley and though she didn’t take our order she was very friendly. Alyssa took our order and I can’t say enough about how friendly she was. Food was perfect thanks to her recommendations.

We love the 99s. All have been basically the same with friendliness and atmosphere. For some reason tho, everytime my friend would have rice with her meal it was not hot but cool. So now she orders a baked potato. I must mention, for a couple of years now i haven’t been happy with the summer and reg dinner salads have been less choices.
