It’s so nice to have a Mexican bakery nearby. The prices here are very average, but the standout is the food. The selection is amazing. The cake was so delicious. I also got some coffee, hot chocolate and champurado.
The service is so friendly I can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful staff and delicious food. I ordered a cake for a bachelorette party and the employee who helped me, Gaby, was great. She worked with me on the design, size, and flavors and was able to have the cake made so quickly! The final product was gorgeous and tasted so good, it was a highlight of the party! The pricing was also very reasonable for the amount of work and detail they put into the cake.

Azucar & Canela for the WIN!
At 2pm the day before my husband’s 50th, my baker cancelled. I went to Azucar & Canela at 4pm ready to buy every last concha just to have SOMETHING for dessert. And lo and behold, look at what they had ready at 1pm THE NEXT DAY!
Beautiful! Delicious! Local! AND they came in clutch!!!
Thank you with all my heart and welcome to Mt. Greenwood!!!

The conchas are perfect. We went early enough when they were still warm when we purchased them. We tried their Cafe De Olla for the first time (they offer iced & or hot) and it tasted just like my grandmother used to make. Everything was delicious

This beautiful pink building is a lovely addition to the area! It’s so nice to see some color brought in! I was anxiously awaiting the opening of this wonderful bakery and it finally opened. Karen, the owner, is as sweet as pie (or pan duce) and the rest of the staff are friendly and busy as can be making delicious baked goods. Her pan dulce is delicious, I hope she will soon sell Mexican hot chocolate to go with it and to help us survive the coming months. The cookies they make there are crispy and made quite an impression on guests. The cakes look scrumptious and beautiful. What more can one ask for in a Bakery?

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I love the bright pink painted building and was anxiously awaiting for this bakery to open. The owner, Ms. Karen, is sweet and if it’s not too busy can tell you about the Mexican baked goods she and her family make, made with love it seems. The bakery is cheerful and has wonderful vibes, the pan dulce is yummy, but goes really well with a hot cup of Mexican chocolate; at least my family thinks so. A friend of mine went in for cookies for an event and Ms. Karen was really helpful with selecting cookies for their guests. The guests raved about them, so I do hope they have gone back for more. This is a gem of a Mexican bakery! The only thing is that they are not open on Sundays, but family should always take priority over business. Thank you Azucar y Canela!

I just want to take the time to recommend I was looking for a last minute cake and someone recommended this place to me and they were able to help me by taking my last minute cake order which I truly appreciate and the cake came out so cuteee! But not only that I took the time to also try their cookies and Omg I fell in love you can tell the love and dedication they pour into it all so much flavor. I loved them! I got home and tried my mazapán concha and biscoff concha and they were both sooo delicious they melted in my mouth the plus that they were soft which i definitely enjoyed! I need more! Thank you for making me feel so welcomed i believe it was the Mom that helped me out today and I just want to truly say thank you for all the welcoming feeling I received as soon as I walked in. I will definitely be a regular customer. ❤️

I recently visited Azúcar y Canela and wow I was genuinely amazed! The service was outstanding, and everyone behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming. I went in looking for sugar free pastries, and I’m pretty sure the owner came out personally to brainstorm some ideas and told me to come back a few days later.
When I returned, she had created something special just for what I was looking for, and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone! I also tried the conchas, and they were incredibly moist, flavorful, and overall just really good.
I no longer have to go to Pilsen to get my pan dulce. Thank you so much Carmen and staff!!!!

Wonderful bakery! The staff is pleasant they are very welcoming and attentive. What I love most is the authenticity; you can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite. Whether you’re looking for a quick treat or planning a special celebration, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to return and try more of their amazing creations. I would recommend their mini cakes, cookies and when they have them their cheesecake dipped in chocolate. My daughter would recommend the carrot cake and cake pops. Enjoy!

This place was so good! My husband and I got a few pastries to share-the speculoos concha, a guava cream cheese croissant and a chocolate croissant. Everything was amazing, and the chocolate croissant was the best I’ve ever had. We live in the neighborhood, so we’ll definitely be back. I wanted to try everything! They also had some day-old pasties for sale for cheap. I love when places do this, so I was happy to see that 🙂
