Great place in scenic Jackson NH! the tavern is super fun with live music a few nights a weeks, we like Hoot night (open mic) on Tuesday! Good selection of craft cocktails. The menu changes but usally have burgers, pasta, fish and beef of some kind. The waitstaff is always great and the rooms in the inn are quaint.

An experience at the Cat is totally hit or miss. Mostly miss these days. Four of us waited 45 minutes to be waited on. We finally got our first drinks. Another 40 minutes went by to be asked if we were ready to order food. When our food came we noticed that the fish chowder was served in smaller portions and seriously lacked any fish. Basically an undersized cup of potato chowder for $8.95. Our side of fries was noticeably smaller, as well, but the price increased from just 3 weeks ago. There is nothing reasonably priced on the menu. $18.95 for a pretzel!!! We went on Hoot night. Music was great, as usual, but the food, service, and ridiculously high prices for what you get is totally unacceptable. Recommendation to the owner… Just charge a cover for the music and lower your prices. Friends of mine went there for dinner a couple of weeks ago and were charged $28 for 2 pints. Stop gouging!!!

We have been visiting and staying at the WIldcat Inn and Tavern for many years after Thanksgiving. Everyone has been welcoming. We have never been disappointed with any of the food over the years. They had an awesome Pork chop my husband had a few times this visit, he could not get enough. Music there is great on Friday’s and Saturday nights. We are lucky enough to experience their Hoot Night on Tuesday’s. Stew, you have a keeper in Meredith. She was incredible to watch and we can see she wears several different hats. Sarah our waitress was pleasant and attentive. We hope to see them both next year, hopefully sooner.

It is with mixed emotions that I leave this review. I have been coming to the Wildcat for more than 20 years. In recent years at least 15 times or more a year. We attend Hoot night and plan our trips around it. This xmas holiday was no different. My son (23) was up from Florida and like always we planned to attend Hoot night. “Not gonna happen” I was told by the woman seating people. As I peered in to the tavern, it was less than half full and many bar seats open as well. We arriving at 530 for dinner and drinks prior to the entertainment as we always do. Our bill is in the hundreds every visit and this time would have been no different. But we were told all seat have been reserved for Hoot night? I said ok but cant we at least eat? No we are saving all those seats for the reservations. And very rudely I may add, as if I had never been there before and was a bum off the street? We were obviously very disappointed, having traveled so far and been treated so badly. There is no loyalty from these people, even though people like me and my family kept this place alive in the slow season. They chose instead to make a very poor decision which they did with many others after us as well. We stood and watched as they turned away party after party wanting dinner, and arriving early for Hoot night? Unfortunately we will never return as I think would be the general feeling for the other patrons turned away. John I’m thinking you should have stepped in on this one, they made you look just as bad as themselves. I would think decisions to treat patrons like this will probably lead to their demise. The food is subpar as is the lodging, but the drinks were always good and John brought something special. You cant treat people who support your lively hood, the way we were treated! So long

This is a nice place to dine at and stay the night. No fancy amenities, but the room was clean and cozy, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were very cheap. As for the restaurant, I ordered the pan roasted statler chicken and it tasted excellent. The chicken was very tender and cooked in a very juicy sauce. Various vegetables were also mixed in on the plate. There was also live music and a nice upbeat atmosphere. If you’re looking for a simple, cozy inn to stay the night and have a good bite to eat, then this is a good place for you.

7/31/24 – Our second visit in a week – couldn’t resist! Trying out the tavern tonight. Music and trivia along with dinner. How could we miss?!
Review to follow!

Again, I had the special – almond crusted Talipia with beurre Blanc sauce, mango rice and asparagus. Terrific. Husband had the ahi again. Why not? It was delicious.

Now for music and trivia. Fun place! OH, and we got to sit in Hanna’s station again! Woo hoo!!

BY FAR, our favorite of the last three weeks on North Conway. Hanna couldn’t have been nicer or more professional. Funny, sweet, courteous, attentive. She’s the tops!

I had the Haddock special which was out of this world! Creamy, shrimp on top and inside, green beans and carrots along with mango rice. Fabulous!!

Husband had the ahi tuna cooked perfectly ‘black and blue!’

The whole vibe is great with a special dining area, a separate tavern and even an outdoor garden area with seating and live music.

We will be back!!

The staff were so accommodating, kind & helpful. The Inn is so comfortable and what a beautiful location!
The Tavern… wow. Guests are treated like family, the food is fantastic & they had live music (fantastic!)
Can’t say enough about the Wildcat. Stay for a ski weekend, or pop in for dinner after a hike- you’ll love it.

Took the family there during the busy ski season. Most restaurants in town were all booked up at 6:30pm; we came here and tried our luck. The place was packed, but the owner was very accommodating and helped clear a table for us right away. Food and drinks were good, staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the food and the feel of the restaurant. All kinds of neat historic old photos on the wall showcasing outdoor activities of the season along with some old gear. Menu was simple at just one page front and back but had a nice variety of tastes and prices. Extensive drink menu. Dessert was awesome apple pie with a $1.50 up charge to make it a la mode with giant scoop of vanilla ice cream next to an already large squirt of cream.
