With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.
Our commitment to developing the best drive-thru espresso led us to franchise The Human Bean’s brand and system in 2002. We expect to continue this growth through approved franchisees that share the same determination and commitment to our goals for this exceptional brand.
Drive-thru chain serving espresso, coffee, tea, smoothies & kid-friendly beverages.

No shortage of coffee places in Salmon Creek. Human Bean is right at the top for me. I love all their different and unique coffee offerings. I’m always trying new ones. Great tasting coffee! Easy to get in and out as well.

First time trying this place out as I got a free drinks through a local magazine
I wasn’t sure what to order as my wife usually orders for us at black rock. I ordered an iced coffee with sugar free white mocha and sugar free vanilla. When asked if I wanted americano or latte, I wasn’t sure how to and we so I said whichever is creamier as I like it on the creamier side.
Unfortunately this tastes straight up like whole milk. I couldn’t taste any coffee flavor or the sweetener.
Also thought the service would be better. Wasn’t expecting Dutch bros friendly but appreciate a greeting and basic questions. Will be returning back to black rock after this visit

Stopped in on 3 different occasions in order to make sure I didnt just get an off day, ordered the exact same drink and every time its very lacking in espresso shots as well as flavoring. Given the price which is comparable to all the other kiosks I use throughout the year i shouldnt have to ask for additional shots and flavoring which I would no doubt be upcharged for. I will most likely not try it again.

The best thing about the Human Bean Salmon Creek is the baristas! I was there today and Palmer and Emily were absolutely fantastic. Great coffee recommendations, friendly, patient and kind! Thank you for a great way to start the day!

They do not know how to make a latte. I ordered a 24 ounce latte with chai. They didnt inform me they only do 20 ounce hot drinks, they couldn’t tell the difference between a 16 ounce and 20 ounce cup when I pointed out it was not 24 ounces (they should have told me they only do 20oz hot drinks when I ordered but they didnt). All of this happened then I took a drink of my coffee to realize its not even a latte its straight up coffee with no chai added at all.
The girls seem nice but clearly dont know how to do the job of making coffee.

I’ve already reviewed another one of their locations, but I probably go to this one more often. Love the people and love my soy pumpkin latte

Yesterday, around 8 am, got the worst latte (it felt like it was diluted with water) and burnt egg bites (it was like a rubber) I waisted $12

The staff here is SUPER friendly, the prices are reasonable and this is a stellar location… but you guys have to switch up your beans/ your roast. The people are great and the coffee is not. The espresso tastes over roasted and sour. If it weren’t for that I’d be here every morning but instead Ive opted to wait in line at blackrock
