Food was good. We got the Southern Sampler from the smokehouse packs section. It was rated 1-2 people, but definitely will feed two people. Ribs were good, and the chicken and pulled pork as well. The Texas hot link sausage was very good The brisket was a bit fatty, so a little disappointing…but just a little. The original sauce was good, but the Chicago fire was better. The southern gal was the least spicy. You DEFINITELY need extra sauces as they give you only two small-ish sauces included. About 4 total was roughly good for that sampler. The max & cheese was good, not amazing, but the muffin top corn breads were moist and soft. Didn’t need butter, but it would have been nice (not provided). Our friends got the pork sandwich and they though it was quite good.
A great option if you are hankering for BBQ when in Excelsior, especially if you are over at Excelsior Brewing! It is pretty easy set up with the pick up window on the side of the building so you can avoid needing to go into counter area. Just a 1-minute walk from Brewery to pickup window! Lots of people were picking up and taking somewhere else!
There appears to be inside and outside seating on sidewalk, but basically counter service from what I could see.

We went last night (Friday) and had an amazing experience at this BBQ restaurant! The person who attended us was outstanding super friendly, attentive at all times, and gave us the best suggestions. What impressed us even more was that they spoke both English and Spanish, which made everything so easy and welcoming. The service was incredibly fast, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back

I got take out for the first time and wowza that brisket is out of this world. The chicken was solid but I can’t stop thinking about that brisket. So tender, flavorful. Muffin tops were yummy. Mac and cheese and beans were flavorful and yummy. So excited to have you guys in Excelsior!!!

They serve primarily barbecue, as the name suggests. I ordered the party platter, which came with a whole chicken, pulled pork, and 8 ribs. We also ordered rib tips and Texas beef brisket, which are both separate main dishes apart from the party pack. We had sides that came with all the main dishes, such as coleslaw, mashed potatoes, beans, and cornbread, which all tasted good.
It was a little more than enough to feed all of us, 3 adults and 4 kids. I think for the price, the food was good enough to say it was worth it. The portions are generous enough, not super big or small. The drink selection is limited. There are some sodas, alcohol, and bottled water to choose from.
There is a paid parking lot and a free parking lot. It was somewhat difficult to find parking, but not a big hassle. As for the seating, there is an indoor seating selection and an outdoor seating selection with tables.

This is a great new addition to Excelsior. Chill atmosphere, attentive staff, and great food! We got two of the sandwiches with Mac and creamed corn. I loved that they topped mine with corn, cheese, pickles, and onions, so it’s more dynamic than the traditional meat and bun!

Bought a Brisket platter here with Mac & cheese. The slices of brisket had no flavor by itself as if it was unseasoned, they were super dry and not tender as well. The mac & cheese was basic. 1/5 Beef Brisket. Would not come again.

Sorry but the first time he had the half slab of ribs husband said they were the best he’s had in a long time. Second time they were tough and dry and says he’ll never order from them again. Really too bad cuz it was convenient for pick up.

Oh, my LAWD. We had the opportunity to pop into this newly opened location and let me tell you…GO. The BBQ was smoked to absolute perfection! We met the Pitmaster-there is a lowered counter right in front of his smokers that let us chit chat with him as he was doing his magic! It was so cool!!
Ribs: Staaaaaaap. Juicy, nice pull, beautiful smoke ring…savory, I felt like a judge on one of those TV shows, and these were the Best in BBQ Grand Prize! 200/10 (yes, that is 200 out of 10, just trust me.)
Hot Links: I want to also mention the Hot Links. Now, I can tell you that up until this moment, I have not ever given a second thought to any type of smoked sausage, anywhere. Today, these Hot Links have changed my world. They are FIRE. Again, 200/10
