I went to Gaslight Diner a couple of weeks ago, as they hosted a J-Town Chamber event. They provided apps that were amazing and had great options for the type of event. I saw on the menu that they had a Reuben, which is one of my favorites, and their prices were great. Went back this week for my birthday lunch with my parents and cousin, for that Reuben! The food was amazing! My mom and I both had the Reuben, I had onion rings and she had fries. The Reuben was so good! Onion rings too, but the Reuben was my main highlight! My dad had country fried steak, eggs and hash browns. My dad is a chef himself and he was blown away how great his meal was. (For my dad to be impressed- speaks VOLUMES!) My cousin had the Hot Brown. My cousin said the Hot Brown was better than The Brown Hotels’, which is where it originated! Presentation of food was perfect. Service was awesome! We were checked on numerous times, by several people, not only our server. Everyone was very friendly and the prices were incredible. For 4 of us, it was $55 for all of our meals and drinks! You cant even eat at a fast food restaurant for that these days- but the food is incomparable! Gaslight Diner is my new favorite place! -As I’m posting these pictures, its making me want to go back now, it was so good!- Enjoy! You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Had breakfast here. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns hit the spot. The gravy came out cold, but the staff handled it well and took it off the bill, which I appreciated. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was cozy, hometown diner feel.

Was out on a walk for some food and was drawn to the Gaslight Diner because of the live music. We got seated outside and was immediately asked about drinks. Ordered some tasty beverages that made us feel like we were on vacation. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, the music was nice, the food was awesome and the patio is perfect. Will definitely be coming back again.

This place is family owned and operated. My family visited for the first time today. They were short staffed and slightly slow at first but they were hustling to get to everyone as they were a packed house. Our server was kind, let us know he was short staffed and we had no problem waiting. We loved the breakfast and lunch items ordered and the son of owner, who was our server. Great prices, great food and great service! We will be back!

Our first time Gasslight Diner. Atmosphere reminds me of mom and pop diners from home. I got the country fried steak and it was fantastic. Hasbrowns were perfect. Eggs were great.

The hubs and I were driving by the Gaslight Diner. We heard there was a new owner and hadn’t tried it since the change.

I’m glad we did. The menu is different now and I liked the changes.

My husband had breakfast and I had a sandwich. His was a typical home fries, eggs, toast and bacon with French Toast added on. He continued to rave about how great it was. I tried the Stony Brook – Turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato and their own Gaslight Diner Sauce on toasted white bread. I’m not into a lot of sauce so I decided to get mine on the side. My sandwich was delicious as were my fries.

Our server was attentive and friendly. The owner Aaron could be seen stopping by several tables and chatting with customers.

I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal by some local people. Their menu is available online.

Food was good but it took forever to get our food and it was not very busy. The waitress was not very good or attentive. We asked for two cups of ice that we never received. There was a lady that brought us our food that I assume was the manager that was very friendly .

Awesome culture, beautiful array of tiles, artistry and retrospective into the days long gone…
The waiter/waitress were very nice and the service is 2nd to none.
You definitely get the “community gathering place” experience vibe whenever you enter the establishment.
I was even blessed & honored to meet the owner, Aaron- A very cool guy & definitely involved with everything that has to go on at his business. He really impressed me with his ability to mingle with the restaurant goers here. ‍↕️ ‍↕️ ‍↕️
I ordered the “Farmstead bowl” & MAN… It was DELICIOUS. There’s definitely people who enjoy and love their job back in the kitchen because you could just TASTE the genuineness through every bite. The serving of it in a makeshift spoon-like ladle was very clever: it made me, at once, think about how a giant or a hungry person would shove the entirety of the meal into their mouths, to not waste one single morsel of it and also to not let it go cold.
How they organized the meal caused it to look as if every layer beckoned you to get to the last bite and, if you’re an avid eater, like I am from time to time, go for seconds. (Lol.)
Everything was fresh- from the onions, peppers & spinach, to the point of conversation that you had with the servers.
All in all, if you’re driving through this area of Kentucky & don’t stop here, you’re doing yourself & Kentuckians everywhere, a great disservice.
