Recommendation is to avoid this place. We have ordered thru the drive thru a couple times but they never get the order right. Last night, I ordered 3 chicken & cheese only tacos plus 1 fully loaded taco with fajita veggies. The gal confirmed she understood the order, but we received 4 chicken, cheese and lettuce tacos. In addition, the tomatoes/pico is old vs fresh. Not worth the time or money.

First time trying Cafe Rio. There was nothing fresh about what I received this evening. The cilantro was soggy and brown, the limes were old, the romaine lettuse was browning, the guacamole was browning and tasted old. The steak I received was way undercooked and there was hardly any cotija cheese on it. The beans were nothing but juice and made my salad a soup. I dont normally complain about what I receive from a place ran by kids and close to home, but this will keep me from going back there again. I could have gone back but after getting all the way home and into my meal, the want diminished.

I had another bad review, but it just keeps continuing. I think most of us are better off making our own food at home at this point. $80 for this little bit of meat. I could have just either made it myself, gone to Costco, or frys for a fraction of the cost with the same portion. Basically, they gave us a can of beans and a tiny portion of protien.

Really nice new place! Looks like they are still getting it all together and set up. Overall everyone was super friendly and it was really nice that they checked in on how my meal was. I can’t have dairy so I was worried when I saw cheese all over the veggies. Also when I asked if the lime vinegar sauce had dairy no one really gave me a straight answer. I might come back but it’s worth to try at least once!

This is amazing, San Tan Valley has thier very own Cafe Rio! Love this place.
The people working the store mentioned how dirty some of the other chains are and pledged that this location will stay clean.
Very nice and professional people working. The outside seating is awesome, well awesome when the weather is nice. Go check them out and enjoy some good Tex-Mex food.

Normally the food is okay but to go they are trash, don’t cheap your customer when they order a steak burrito and it’s got 6 strips of meat. I’d like more than rice, bean and tortilla for 15 bucks.
Instead of inviting me back to pay again, you should invite me back and give me another burrito that’s worth the 15 bucks I spent the first time and make sure the staff stops short changing people.

Stopped here with family hoping for some good tacos. I ordered the steak tacos for 11 bucks. They were okay. This place has Chipotle vibes but the counter operators all seemed to act like they either haven’t been here long or just don’t care about the customer. Food was pretty average. I probably won’t come back here in the future unfortunately.

Ngl its pretty mid, its a white washed Chipotle that really ends up being a choice due to circumstances. I came by to try it out again and see if it improved but it hasn’t. The only upside is that there seems to usually be no wait and the drinks aren’t too bad.

It seemed a bit pricey but the food was good. I had the Thursday special which were shrimp tacos, my mom got a veggie plate and my boyfriend got chicken. I got two meals out of the shrimp taco plate
