We had dinner on an overnight stay at the hotel next door. I thoroughly enjoyed my Navajo Taco. Being greeted with chips and salsa was nice. And the sopapillas to snack on after dinner was a plus. The super sweet waitress, Summer, was wonderful. Didn’t encounter anyone rude at checkout LOL but all we did was pay the bill. Clean and comfortable. I thought the food wasn’t bland at all, unlike other reviewers.

Hahahahaha. Trip advisor lists this as #1 for breakfast. Well, I guess if you are starving after a 500 mile drive. Waitress was excellent. Tortillas swimming in oil. Eggs, no seasoning. Beans with too much salt. Red chili bland. Green chili good. I won’t recommend this for any reason known to humans.

I can’t do it with this place anymore. My issue is specifically with the rude Native American lady that works the register. I have been eating at Roadside for as long as I can remember so it always feels nostalgic to me but that lady is just over the top rude and it makes the establishment feel entirely off-putting. You can’t work a customer facing job and have absolutely no customer service skills like she does. I usually try to have empathy and think maybe she is just having a bad day but no she just has a bad attitude plain and simple.

Good food, good service.
Checking out to pay the bill difficult.
Lady checking people out very rude makes you wait 10+ minutes.
Waited on the patron before us and then left with out waiting on us. Finally when she returned she rudely asked “What do you want?”

This was such a pleasant surprise! With a down home atmosphere, historic local photos, and the sweetest down-to-earth waitress, I was already intrigued. Then came our breakfasts! Wow! Tasty, perfectly spicy, lots of food, excellent coffee and hospitality above and beyond!

The decor is awesome but food quality with temp not so much. Everything came out all at once and half of the food was cold and enough that the corn couldn’t melt the butter. Also confused on why there was chopped lettuce and tomatoes on my chicken fried steak entree…

We ate here while camping nearby the night before we drove to Chaco Culture. My husband had a Navajo Taco that was really good. It appears to be a locally owned restaurant. The server was very nice and checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. I had a Mexican combination plate. It was really good too. We will definitely stop by here again

Was so embarrassed. Had people from out of town we hadn’t seen in many years. We had breakfast and it was horrible. Not only did it taste bad, it looked bad.

I ordered Navajo Taco and the fry bread was really flat and so unappetizing because the meat filling taste really bland and not fresh at all. I am sorry but orde your Navajo tacos from real authentic Navajos who sell on the side of the roads.

The restaurant, although older, was very clean. No real decor, typical of a roadside diner. The service was great but the food was just acceptable. I just had the patty melt. The string fries were limp and just warm as was the patty melt.
