I ate here once 5 years ago while passing thru and I’m still thinking about it! My daiughter and I had breakfast with amazing green chili sauce and it was amazing. The portions were huge. Just sent my the link to my son who is driving thru NM tomorrow.

Long drive across New Mexico and stopped in to grab breakfast. Two breakfast tacos with ham and green chilies was perfect. friendly staff, delicious food – worth the stop for sure!

This is a nice little touch of Tex-mex. The aromas dancing around in the air were amazing! They have a wide variety of dishes. It reminds me of an authentic mom and pop shop! The staff was very attentive and eager to greet us. We were literally met at the front door! It was our first time here , but they treated us like family! They answered all of our questions politely and respectfully! In great detail. They staff coordinated perfectly in harmony. Moving quickly amongst one another, all the while keeping smiles on their faces! Seriously many groups or people came and went. I overhead a lot of the interactions while waiting for my food to-go. The had to have know half of their customers’s orders! They knew most by name. The display of my food is simple but nice. I received it within 15 minutes of waiting. We got the El Miguel and the Barbacoa plate with rice and beans. Surprisingly the rice and beans were both refried and Mexican style rice but they tasted completely different! The El Miguel’s rice was spicy and the beans were decent. The burrito is essentially a tortilla with meat and onions and bell peppers with white cheese on top of it and A LOT OF GREASE! The Barbacoa was “bacoa” minus the “Bar” because there was no fiesta!! The rice had no flavor or seasoning. The beans and Barbacoa were the same sadly. It’s not bad it’s just not flavorful like I expected(there was zero flavor). Look I’ll be honest if your family is one that prefers authentic flavors or seasoning in general this isn’t really the place. Now if you have picky eaters this just might be the place for you! I really wish it would have been better. Maybe it just was an off day. The chips are great!

What an experience, we sat on a two person table. The server took our order, then brought chips and salsa. The salsa was really great tasting. The dining area is clean and well maintained. The bathroom is very well kept, not sure if there is another one… for the size of the restaurant, it was a unibathroom. My wife’s plate had the wrong eggs, but it was corrected, but the barbacoa was not good. It tasted kinda bad. She settled for a traditional breakfast with bacon. I had the carne guisada with two sunny side eggs on top. It was delicious, and the manager had made everything better on all and any faults, so I commended manager Eloisa. Thank you all. I will be returning to try a different dish from the menu so that I can let you know how things are again at this place. I will recommend you eat here and try something that you find different from other restaurants. If you’re like me, I try combining different things to my plate.

Our waitress, Nicole was friendly and amazing! We ordered the big man breakfast, street tacos, taquito plate, huevos rancheros, and menudo. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I ordered sweet tea, but asked for half sweet half regular. It was a Saturday and was busy, but we were able to be seated quickly.

I dropped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed the asada fries. The restaurant was pretty busy, but they still managed to get the order out very quickly. My food was well prepared and very tasty. It was almost too much for one person to eat and could easily be shared. Looking forward to visiting again!

I love home cooked food and this place hits home. Food is very good and the menudo OMG, it’s spicy just the way I like it. I’ve been here a few times as you can tell. If your visiting town stop by you won’t regret it.

I absolutely love the chicken street tacos!! Nowhere else makes them like Mi Cocina. Mom loves the red chili pork. The queso and chips are the best in town!
