We stopped in here on our way home from a trip on Friday, March 7th, 2025. Our service and food were both excellent. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and my colleague ordered veal picatta. Both dishes were hot upon arrival and delicious. I also ordered a side salad which was fresh and crisp. The complimentary bread met all expectations. We would both visit this restaurant again if passing through the area. Highly recommend.

We got a Philly romano pizza, subbed the red sauce out for the ricotta sauce and it was possibly the BEST pizza I have truly ever had! You can’t go wrong with this yummy pizza! It’s so thick and delicious!

This is one of the top three restaurants for my wife and I in Lufkin. There are several reasons we love this place including the best pizza in town (a gluten-free option is available if you’re interested), an amazing caprese salad, and delicious pasta dishes. If you’re looking for a healthy option the grilled chicken and veggies over pasta is amazing (I like to order it with red chili flakes added).
We have always found the wait staff to be very friendly and the manager, Tony, is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet – always smiling and very personable.
The prices are reasonable as well. The restaurant is a little small so sometimes it can be crowded, but that’s never bothered me. We’ve also enjoyed dining on the porch many times.

I am normally toughest on my reviews, when it comes to Italian or Sicilian restaurants. From the time I entered the establishment until the time I left, service was first class. The gravy and the meatballs were seasoned, and delicious. The owner was pretty hands-on and it’s nice to see that a A bistro could have that type of service. This is on a must recommend list.

Worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Rolls were “ok” and the cheese sticks looked like they came out of a box you keep in your freezer. Waitress was inattentive and spent 90% of our time there at another table with coworkers playing on her phone. I get that she hates her job (clearly) but you don’t have take it out on paying customers. I would have rather tipped the guy who brought out our food than her (what little tip we did leave). I had less than half a slice of the pizza that was ordered and the person I shared it with also had less than a slice. The cheese looked and tasted like the cheap kind you get at the dollar store that doesn’t melt right. I felt my arteries clogging with each bite.
When we had “finished” the waitress came over and asked if we liked it and we said no. She never made an offer for us to try something else or make it right. She just asked if we wanted a to-go box (absolutely not) said “ok I’ll get your check.” $43 for trash. I wish 0 stars was an option. I should have snapped a picture of the pizza to show what an abomination it truly was.

The food at Roma’s is good. My wife enjoyed it far more than I did, the Lasagna was a hit for her. I thought it was good better than say Olive Garden but I thought it was a bit salty. Overall, the restaurant was clean, decent atmosphere very good service but very small portions. If you’re planning on sharing a plate, you might want to rethink that if you’re really hungry. Meal was good but could have been better in my humble opinion.

I always get the Veal Murphy pasta on gluten-free noodles. It has jalapeños in it and that’s not something I’ve seen before in pasta.
The gluten-free pizza tastes so crispy that it tricks my brain into believing it’s normal thin crust.
The side salad is good for the price. (3.99)
I can’t speak on the rolls. But, they look so appealing!
Check your salt shakers before hand. I couldn’t get any out. There was moisture on the lid that clogged it. There’s rice in the shakers – so I couldn’t open it to get any out either.
Overall, staff and food are both great. Restrooms are always clean.
