The Longhorn Saloon is such a cute little spot right in the heart of Fort Worth! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and there was live music playing and lots of dancing. The atmosphere was lively but still relaxed—exactly what you’d hope for in a classic Stockyards saloon.
It’s not flashy or overdone, just a fun, welcoming place with great energy. If you’re exploring the area or showing friends around town, it’s definitely worth popping in for the experience.
Overall, a great little saloon with lots of character!

We had one Hell of a time ! The Band was spot on and the crowd couldn’t have been any friendlier. Cold beer and great service topped it off. Older crowd which we really enjoyed, everyone was having a Big Ball in Cowtown

We had some fun and our waitress was nice but the drinks are truly horrendous. Pictured is my “crown soda” next to a bottle of water lol. Again it was a fun time, I did enjoy myself but these bartenders could do a lot better for paying customers

I had a great afternoon here. Live band is great, drink price is reasonable.

This is a great bar with an awesome Texas atmosphere but the one star is for the lady at the entrance. She is running a sham. We accidentally walked in because of the awesome bar stools they have while crossing the street. We had probably spent 30 seconds in the bar and the lady at the entrance asked another customer to reach out to us and make our way to the entrance. Without asking or giving us the option if we wanted to stay or not she made us pay for the $5 cover charge stating that if you just walk into the door after 7 pm you have to pay, even without us ordering or staying a minute at the place. Seriously, is this how you want to run a business and charge people? Have the courtesy and at least offer them a chance if they want to stay or not.
We ordered margaritas and it was basically just lemonade.
I’d say terrific ambience, terrible service and people working here.
Skip if you can.

Went on Nov.22nd and opened a tab and when I closed it I asked to see the charges. She said she closed it and couldn’t print out the charges. A manager RELUCTANTLY printed out the charges and was adamant that she needed that printout back. I paid and tipped in cash. The receipt said $109.55 and they took $189.55 out of my bank account. I have left a message and no return call yet. I do have a my customer receipt that shows $109.55.
I will not return even though it was a fun place.
UPDATE: thank you for the quick response. We did enjoy the establishment and hopefully when we return it will be without issue.

A great Texas honky tonk, nice size dance floor with live music and good beverages. A long time Fort Worth traditional dance hall.

Great old cowboy bar with a lot of history. If you’re in the Fort Worth area you have to visit Lil’ Reds Longhorn Saloon. It’s right in the middle of all the action in the Stockyards so make your plans and have a good time.

Lil’ Red’s Longhorn Saloon in Fort Worth is a classic dive bar with genuine Texan charm. This honky-tonk offers live music that keeps the dance floor hopping and a friendly crowd that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is authentic, with a no-frills vibe that’s perfect for a laid-back night out. While the drink selection is decent, the real draw is the lively, welcoming ambiance. For a taste of true Texas nightlife, Lil’ Red’s Longhorn Saloon is a must-visit.
