So disappointed. What has happened to Lena’s? Been going for years and shocked to see the decline this year. Pricing is outrageous! Clam plate listed at 33.95 then they add an additional $2.00 up-charge. The quality of the clams were ok. The amount you get for the price is pitiful. They even downsized the coleslaw to a tiny 2oz soufflé cup (the size you put ketchup in). We also got a 1/2 plate. Just as pitiful. Last item was a fish chowder. It was hot, seasoned well, had a ton of tiny potatoes and yet very little fish pieces. Cashier had very little personality. Customer in front of us questioned the high prices and she was very flippant with her response. For a Sunday afternoon it was not very busy. Now I understand why. Sad to cross them off my list, but won’t support the price gouging for sub-par quality, quantity and service.

The most watery clam chowder I’ve ever had. I thought a clam chowder was supposed to be creamy and thick. The one we had here was tasteless and like a broth. Lobster roll was good, my husband took a fried Haddock which was very fishy and didn’t taste like Haddock. The place is cool and spacious.

We saw the reviews and decided to try it. We weren’t impressed. Ordering line moved very slow, not figured into the rating, another register would be helpful. We ordered a half and half plate with clams and scallops. Ended up receiving fried shrimp and a haddock filet too but wasn’t waiting longer to bring it to their attention. The scallops were cut in half which I wasn’t impressed by, leave them whole, no need to make it look like your getting more. I enclosed a pic of the haddock filet, doesn’t look good at all. Probably won’t go back, the food tasted ok but was a little bland.

The food was ok, nothing special. We liked the chicken wings although they were tiny. The Cheeseburger was so wet and just not good in our opinion, we questioned if it was even really beef, they probably use those “beef” patties they sell at Walmart which main ingredient is beef hearts. We each only took one bite and then tossed it. The onion rings were ok, the French fries were bland. I really wanted to like the smells but they simply didn’t taste like anything. The staff were amazing though. Very nice and the atmosphere was nice too. I had plans on going back later that night for dinner to get class and scallops but I wasn’t impressed enough w all the other stuff so we didn’t go back.

Read a precious bad review, not sure this person was at the same place. Staff was friendly, food was cooked to perfection for fried food. Nice clean restaurant and all around great experience.

Lena’s has two items that are the absolute greatest I’ve had in my life: cheeseburgers and onion rings. I’ve had a LOT of both in my life and Lena’s is #1 for both of them.
Everything else is phenomenal as well, of course – I get their haddock regularly, my wife adores their seafood special which has a little bit of everything, their hot dogs are flawless, tartar sauce is top of the line, I could go on forever. Never once have I had a bad experience at Lena’s and I’ve been going for over a decade.
The staff is always wonderful, the prices are fair, the restaurant is clean and charming, takeout is fast and convenient – this is literally everything I could ever ask out of a restaurant. The only problem I have is that they’re closed for a few months out of the year!
I highly, highly recommend Lena’s to anyone who enjoys food. They are the absolute best.

Awesome food! I had the Half & Half plate with scallops and whole belly clams — perfectly fried and full of flavor. The plate came with fries, onion rings, a dinner roll, and a small serving of coleslaw. The slaw was fresh and delicious, but the portion was tiny — I’d definitely order extra next time. My only wish is that they offered lemon with the seafood, so I’ll bring my own next time! Overall, highly recommended for classic New England fried seafood done right.

Hot Lobster Roll with butter was Very good! Little on the small side, but the price is right for the size. The roll was toasted, the bun soaked the butter up very well. If I swing by this area again, I will for sure have another lobster roll.
