We had a fantastic experience at Wakyoto Japanese Restaurant. Our waitress was hands-down the MVP — cheerful, patient, super knowledgeable, and full of great descriptions and recommendations. She kept the refills coming and made the whole experience feel easy and fun.
The food?
Not only did everything taste amazing, it looked amazing too. Hot dishes came out hot, sushi tasted fresh, and the presentation was on point. It did take a little extra time for the food to come out, so bring a bit of patience — but trust me, it’s absolutely worth the wait.
Portion sizes were perfect (not skimpy, not overwhelming — chef’s kiss ), and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable.
Overall, a great spot and definitely one we’ll be going back to. ✨

We ordered the Love Boat A, which was on the pricier side. However, given that Branson is a tourist town, the price was not too surprising. It came with miso soup, which wasn’t salty but was cold. It also included a salad with a good amount of dressing. The quality of the fish for the nigiri and sashimi tasted fresh. The Spicy Tuna Roll and Wakyoto Special Roll were run-of-the-mill rolls. The wait was about 30 minutes, which wasn’t ideal.

This restaurant was a hole in the wall HIT! With only 1 waiter, manning 5 tables, we never once waited excessively for anything. Everything was timely, and delicious! From the drinks, the appetizers, and the main courses, it was phenomenal!

The food was fresh and came out fast. The waitress was an absolute sweetheart and rest of the staff was kind.

Staff are polite. The waitress took care of us from the beginning in explaining us about the menu and other stuff we inquired her of. The food was good but seemed slightly over priced. The ambience is good. It is in near proximity to Tanger outlet and we had a good time.

The atmosphere was amazing. It was quiet with dim lights. The servers were nice but a little slow moving. The food was ok. It was the average hibachi food experience. However, it was very expensive. While the presentation was fancy the flavors were not equivalent to price. If this was the normal priced hibachi place I would’ve given a much higher rating but since it was presented as a much fancier restaurant the rating represents that.

My husband and I have now been to eat at this lovely restaurant 3 times now and each time has actually been better than the last. There was not one portion of our meal that I could imagine saying one negative thing about. The spicy tuna roll on this most recent visit was so amazing we ordered a second even after we finished our initial serving of that and another roll. The service each time has been notably excellent as well. The servers are all quite friendly and the food came out very quickly. Even our often picky of an eater 8 year old daughter loved the meal! We will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed this little gem for dinner tonight! Great atmosphere! Felt very vintage but not tacky. Service was also very pleasant, quick and attentive.
I got Yellowfin, Spicy Tuna and Shrimp Tempura rolls. They were so flavorful and fresh. Really enjoyed their miso soup as well. Not too watered down.
My son got chicken teriyaki and raved about it.
My only complaint is that the prices were higher than I was expecting from the reviews. However, I think it is a restaurant worthy of the prices.

We eat at this restaurant each time we come to Branson. They’re located right off a busy road, next to a dispensary! Across from the Walmart. They’re prices are comparable to most sushi spots. The staff was nice. Give it a try.

Quiet and intimate setting, friendly service, and good food. We had no wait time and the mixed drinks were delicious. Our kiddos liked their teriyaki kids plate. It’s a bit pricier than other sushi places but definitely worth it.
