La Cabaña in NJ is absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and made with love.
For appetizers, we had the chicken wings with white sauce and amazing fries SO good. The wings were perfectly cooked and that white sauce on top took it to another level. The fries were crispy, hot, and just right.
The chicken entrée was perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the green sauce? Absolutely amazing. I could seriously put that sauce on everything! We also enjoyed a really good wine that paired perfectly with our meal, and the chicha morada was TO DIE FOR — refreshing, flavorful, and unique.
And I have to mention the tres leches… hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Soft, moist, and not overly sweet just perfect.
We had great service from Chris. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure my boyfriend, and I were taken care of the entire time. You can really tell they care about their customers.
Definitely coming back. Highly recommend for delicious food, great drinks, and amazing service!

The Valentine’s Day dinner was outstanding, but this place is always phenomenal. Friendly staff and the best food you could ask for at a great price. Always in the mood for La Cabańa !

This food is unbelievably delicious! One of the best Peruvian restaurants in my opinion. The Milanesa de Pollo (breaded chicken cutlets) and Aguadito de Pollo (Chicken soup with cilantro) was incredible. They also made the French fries perfectly crispy and the plantains were also fresh and perfectly cooked.

I wouldn’t ever go to this place, despite how good the food looks because while looking up this restaurant on Google maps, to find out if they serve Aji de Gallina, I noticed in their pictures tab, someone shows an insulting, “must wear mask” Covid sign from 5 years ago, even though masks didn’t stop covid, nor could they, as it is a respiratory virus.
Additional note to owner response: that may be so, but COVID health Guidlines are not law.
While following the guidelines in of itself is not bad, put how you wrote the sign is. On top of the sign, you wrote; NASTY. Then in the lower part you wrote; DONT BE DISGUSTING, DONT BE DANGEROUS. That is the insulting tone you put in that sign. Beside the inappropriateness of that, that attitude shows your ignorance: It is now well known that masks don’t stop the spread of aerosol viruses, which knowledgeable people already knew, and many people never got COVID, like me. While your own workers, wearing masks, could still give you COVID if they themselves had it, as it had a long incubation period, without them knowing they were spreading it. Are they Nasty, Dangerous and Disgusting. There were two restaurants, I was looking to stop in, on that street. I liked the looks of the food in yours & would have chose yours, until I saw that sign. I will never patronize any place shown to be a COVID Na zi.

I had the roasted chicken and green sauce. This is some of the best you’ll eat. The sauce is amazing – tasty and just the right amount of spice. Chicken is juicy and well seasoned. Would highly recommend!

I came here with my Russian, non-Spanish speaking SO on a Saturday evening to get pancita y anticuchos and we had a great experience dining here. Staff was attentive and food was great. Was my first time dining here as my family usually orders pollo a la brasa to pick up.
Their homemade chicha is great but I prefer the bottled one because it’s sweeter. Don’t let the neighborhood turn you away from this place, as the restaurant is clean, well priced and more spacious compared to some other Peruvian places nearby. Overall great Peruvian food. Will be back again!

The food is delicious, authentic, and fresh. The food is very hot and can melt in your mouth with delicious and unique flavors. The waiter service is also one of the major highlights of the restaurant. The waiter accommodated me quickly and answered all of my questions in a friendly manner. I will definitely tell family members or friends about this restaurant.

Just picked up food from these guys great chicken and first time trying yuka con Huancaina HORRIBLE, dry, tasteless, looked like it was in the counter for hours or more, yuka was cold sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, food isn’t the same anymore..
