Started out good, the food is really really good came out pretty quick. Don’t understand why they don’t take the dirty dishes away when were done, had to ask for more water well my mom asked for water she got some and walked away my dad was like I guess we don’t get any. Mean while or dirty dishes just sit there we pay the bill and they just sit. The food was excellent!!!

Our family and friends visited Centre Street Tap House during the week. We went in with high expectations but left a little disappointed. We had ordered two burgers, brisket sandwich, two ribeyes, Maui Maui tacos, some kid’s meals, and the meatball appetizer. The food was just okay, even when ordering and asking our waitress for suggestions she said the food can be hit-or-miss. In saying that, the waitress was very nice and checked on us regularly. The atmosphere was nice as well.

My wife and I thought we would try out Tap House. Never having been there before we thought we’d try it. Walking in we saw no one at the bar. When the hostess said go ahead and seat yourself we did. The bar tender got us drinks when he saw us. After that he went to bus tables. We found what we wanted and waited patiently for him to finish. Another couple came in and was greeted. He also took the time to pre bus another table. As I thought the bar tender might be getting ready to taking our order, he started to talk to a vender about orders. Not sure how the food is, I didn’t make it that far. Mind you this was at 1pm on a Friday and the restaurant was vary slow. After 20 minutes of waiting just to place an order, we left.

Great Portage/Woodbridge pub, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet at 2pm on Dec. Saturday afternoon. The chef came out of the kitchen to check on people’s meals, which I thought was a nice gesture. I asked him if he would recommend any lunch specials and he suggested the pastrami Reuben with truffle fries. It was delicious and a treat since I don’t eat much bread or sandwich meat anymore but a good brined, fatty pastrami, corned beef or smoked meat is my weak spot:)
Noah was our server, he was very pleasant and attentive.
I saw a couple burgers come out of the kitchen and the fish and chips, they both look delicious. I can tell this restaurant takes a lot of pride and their food quality and service.

This was the first time I’ve been here and it was really nice. We had brunch with the adult kids and they really loved the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. I really enjoyed the vegetarian biscuits and gravy. Great, pleasant, and attentive servers. If you haven’t tried this gem in portage, then what are you waiting for?!?! Make a lunch date with an old friend.

Wonderful atmosphere, volume of the music was perfect, so you could talk and visit. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, our server was wonderful, went above and beyound to take care if us! The food all tasted fabulous. I had the Reuben sandwich, could only eat half of it. My friend had the Avacodo Chicken club. We also had the the Flourless Sweet and Salty Chocolate Torte, it was fabulous! Highly recommended for an enjoyable night out!

Arrived around 2:30pm on a Sunday with a party of 6. The manager came over and said they “could not serve us” as they couldn’t accommodate “large parties” due to being understaffed even though there was a visible party of 10+ that had been seated. Rather than letting us know it may take longer to be waited on, they turned us away… Interesting service for sure.

We went to Centre Street Tap House to reconnect with family friends and I could not recommend this place enough. The atmosphere here is incredible. Greg and Bob were nothing but exceptional during our visit. My wife is gluten free and they were out of the GF buns. Rather than slipping us a gluten bun, they came out and told us one of their runners to one of their other establishments to get a gluten free bun. We were blown away by the service at Centre Street!!

Dinner menu is pretty weak for a place like this. My girls bun was double the size of her burger and the tomato was cut into a giant wedge with the lettuce so giant you could use it as a place mat. Fries were way under cooked for the both of us and my burger had some flavor but I’ve had the same burger at any other place I could’ve went too. Been here 4 times now and haven’t been impressed once except for beer.
