I get the same sub at ANY subway I go to. This is by far the most irritating and upsetting situation. ALL I order is a veggie delight…. for your employees to side eye me because I ask for EXTRA spinach is ridiculous. Im NOT putting meat on it I want more that just bread with minimal veggies. I STILL barely got any spinach on my dang sub. Being skimpy with what the sub is ACTUALLY made of is completely bs. HIGHLY displeased with this. It was DEFINITELY not worth the money that was spent. This is now the 3rd time I tried to get the exact same sub made, and the 3rd dang time I get the sideeye for needing to ask for more spinach. Personally im DONE with this place, and I’ve been going to this location since I was in high school. The quality of service has SEVERELY dropped in even just the last year or 2. Ill gladly make that extended drive to bad axe, cass city or harbor beach from here on.

Edit 7-24-25 the manager was super nice and helpful she fixed the other peoples mistake. Completely ripped me off my online order was supposed to be done by 12:05 on Friday July 18th 2025 I stood in there and waited from 12:05-12:30 they never made it and completely ignored me so I left there’s no way to contact a manager or the store owner for a refund and here’s the kicker I got a call back at 7:00pm while I was at work so 7 hours after I was supposed to get my order complete trash! So basically they stole my money and there’s nothing I can do about it.

If you are planning any catering for a special event (in my family’s circumstance a funeral memorial for my grandmother) do not use this location. For those that read my other reviews, I live in the Lansing area but grew up in Ruth and graduated from Ubly (I.e. this is not a troll post).

My family had ordered a significant catering order to be ready for pickup at 12:30pm on November 25, 2023. The order was placed well in advance, requiring two interactions with the store and employees before pickup. The first was the initial trip to try to order. The employee could not complete the order (manager needed). The second was the follow up trip to place the order (manager). Order was taken, and details were confirmed.

We went to pickup the order at pickup time and called ahead to verify it was ready or if additional time was needed. Upon picking up the phone, the employee informed our family that they had dated the order incorrectly. They placed the order for November 27, 2023, not November 25. When confronted about the error, instead of owning the mistake and working with us to come up with solutions (we get it, mistakes happen), the woman on the phone was rude and said they were “too busy” to do anything. No subs were provided and we were left to come up with a solution of our own.

We were thankfully able to get the 40 sandwiches needed from Bad Axe and Harbor Beach’s subway locations, but with no help from the employees at the Ubly subway.

In short, this establishment should not be trusted with anything more than a single, in-person order. Otherwise, you are gambling with your event and may need to do what we did.

This is by far the worst subway I’ve ever been to. The first time we ordered online and nothing was correct. Now we order and I’m eating cold flat bread because they can’t toast it. I’ve never gone to a subway that said they can’t toast my flatbread with chicken. I’m so disappointed.

I placed an online order for two Footlong subs and both had many incorrect ingredients and preparation that left both subs inedible by me. I do not recommend online ordering to this location, they will probably get it wrong

Placed an online order from work. Forget to change the time to 3 pm. Food was sitting on pickup rack when I came in. Didn’t feel comfortable with it being left out for over 2 hours. Ate it and was fine but didn’t like that fact.

Okay so covid has scared alot of ppl. I get it but I FEEL much safer when I go to a place like subway when I see them WASH their hands and WEAR their MASKS;
Not below their nose. I won’t eat there when that tattooed girl is there.
And she charged me twice cut she didn’t notice the chips on the counter. Who in food does that?
