So glad my husband and I stopped by this place. The food was really good… everything we had tasted traditionally authentic! The waitress was kind and put in a special request for me. However, someone from the back named Jose was so considerate and courteous that he came to our table to tell me he would highly recommend I try the dish as is rather than making the change I had originally requested AND…if I wasn’t satisfied he would make another plate with what I asked for. I didn’t mind at all… and I truly appreciated him personally coming out to ask me this. Turns out he was not wrong… the dish was so delicious as is. I had enfrijoladas with a side of eggs, my husband had barbacoa tacos with a side of eggs. Both dishes came with beans and potatoes. We also had cafe de olla & orange juice. Our total today 01/17/26 with tax but before tip was only $36.11!!! We highly recommend this place and we will be back to try other things on the menu.

Wow! The Team at Pearland Automotive went for lunch for the first time and was delicious! Had the daily special Green Enchiladas with Beef Fajitas. Love that they came with bacon on top. They fajitas were cooked to perfection! Not to mention, the Natural Lemonade is one of the best in town.

Sabores del Sol Mexican Cafe is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Pearland. I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes and they were delicious. The green tomatillo sauce reminded of the green sauces I had when I visited Mexico City. The chihuahua cheese and bacon toppings made them extra delicious. Beans and rice were great and good portions.

I was treated great by the staff and had a great experience during my time there. They have a variety of tequilas and some that are of great quality that many restaurants don’t offer.

I definitely plan to visit more often.

We tried this restaurant because we heard it was the children of Emma’s Mexican Grill’s which we loved. They did not disappoint. Salsa was not my favorite, it was very flavorful but I like super spicy salsa so that’s a personal preference. We ordered the Enchiladas de Mole and Enchiladas Suizas, they were delicious, very well made. We could tell that the mole is and Susa sauces were made from scratch. We finished with the tres leches cake which was Devine, quite possibly the best I ever had. Service was good, restaurant was very clean. We highly recommend and we will be back.

Sabores Del Sol Mexican Cafe delivers. The Huevos à la Mexicana hit with fresh flavor—eggs cooked just right, beans smooth and topped with queso fresco, potatoes seasoned well, and fruit on the side. The Sandía Agua Fresca was refreshing and clean, the kind of drink you remember. Not pictured: the Café de Olla, bold and spiced, the perfect finish.

Service was attentive without being over the top, and the vibe was laid back but welcoming. Solid spot for authentic flavor and an easy dining experience.

Came for breakfast and there was plenty of seating and parking available. Staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Husband had the huevos rancheros and I had barbacoa tacos. All very delicious!

You are going to want to go here! I figured it would be good based on going to Emma’s previously but it was excellent! Sat at bar, great service, burrito was so tasty. National Margarita day with $6 margaritas. House margarita very balanced, not too sweet. Also, they have the cucumber frozen margarita on the menu, will try next time!

Very good restaurant, good atmosphere, good food, good customer service and for now i’d say there’s plenty of parking but who knows when it gets famous or popular. Enjoy it while is not busy at all yet, I got served in 5 minutes (Me and two more people were inside only) maybe that’s why but overall the food was good, big servings and they play music, have TVs to watch the games. Amazing! I could try the bar because i was not feeling drinks at the moment but next time for sure!!

This review is from a Monday afternoon.
The service was so great that the poor food quality was surprising
Tortillas were rubbery.
The brisket had very little taste.
The refried beans only had taste after adding Asiago cheese.
The guacamole was very good though.

My husband, our son and I visited this restaurant after we saw a great review on FB. We typically choose Sundays as our family meal out day.

The food was good. The salsa was great, my chile relleno was very good and the fajitas were great as well in spite of it being the wrong temp, flavor was there!

Our issue came with the service, or lack of. After being sat, we received drinks and ordered. The server rarely checked on us (eventually we were ordering drinks 2 at a time so we never ran out.) After we received our food…we never were checked on. Not once. Had we been checked on, the server would have been able to: check the temp on our fajitas which was not to order, refilled chips and salsa, brought a new steak knife as ours were more dull than a butter knife, it wasn’t serrated at all. We would have loved to order deserts or even a margarita. But we didn’t see anyone check on us until the bartender (not our original server) brought the check.

Now, this isn’t a moment of Karen-ness where we want something comped. No. This is a moment of awareness for the business as both my husband and I have been in the service industry/customer service management for a combined 20 years.

We mentioned to the bartender who brought us the check if he was the owner. He said it was a family business. We mentioned that we didn’t see a server for the last 40 minutes. His response was that this was the busiest week the restaurant had and they didn’t have staff. We both understand that and are empathetic. But why continue to take parties of 9, 5 or even 3 if it means your already sat tables are going to suffer? I’m not sure if our original server was pulled to a 9-top table that came in after us and we were suppose to be serviced by the bartender who just forgot about us.

But the dismissive response we kept getting from staff was what bothered us.
“We’re understaffed.”
“We have been slow for months and now we don’t have the staff for how busy it is.”
“Well we’ve been in the restaurant business for 40 years.”

Not once was there a “I’m so sorry guys! How can we make this right?”

A woman came to give us a bag for our to-go food, and said “Next time your service will be better.” I get that, I hope it is. But this really was our Valentine’s celebration with my family. And were there issues with our food? Little ones that could have easily been resolved had we been able to tell someone. But we couldn’t. No one even walked by our table for us to grab their attention. We spent the last 25 minutes of our meal without drinks. Couldn’t tell anyone. Would have love a desert. Couldn’t tell anyone.

Will we return? Probably not for dine in. But takeout is an option because we really did enjoy our food.

And no one was rude! I cant stress that enough. Food was good! Can’t stress that enough. And we would love to try this place again but right now we’re just feeling very dismissed. The truth is, we never received an apology or acknowledgment that the ball was dropped but what we got were justifications as to why our experience was bad.
