We stopped in for lunch and tried the Reuben sandwich and the Patty Melt on rye—both were very good! The Reuben had tender corned beef and tangy sauerkraut, and the Patty Melt was hearty with crispy rye bread. The cozy diner feel really added to the experience, and the service was friendly. Great spot for comfort food in Big Bear—just shy of perfect, but definitely worth a visit.

Visiting Big Bear Village for the day (Wednesday afternoon) and wanted to grab breakfast a little away from the main areas. I found this cafe on Yelp and wanted to try a local favorite. We were seated right away by a young man that was very nice – he even came to check on us a few times. Our waitress was okay, nice at the end but seemed to be a little down and impatient in the beginning. We ordered the fried egg sandwich with hash brown, and a French toast combo plate. The food was yummy – I loved the bacon – nice and crispy. The French toast wasn’t very sweat, which is how I love it. Though it was a bit watered down, I enjoyed the coffee. Definitely recommend!

I went to the outdoor patio with my wife and our dog, the staff was very nice and kind, the service was 5 stars and the food too, we had the French toast combo n°1 and the Eggs Benedict with Canadian ham, the food was very nice I don’t regret and we are definitely coming back for another good food. The French Vanilla Cappuccino is really good by the way.

I had the most pleasant meal here on a Friday night after working on my cabin all day. My pastrami burger was cooked well, and the fries were nice and crispy. This place has an all-American diner feel to it without dipping into the greasy spoon category.
Service was friendly and prompt. They let me stay and read after my meal and didn’t rush me out to turn the table. Right off the main road thru town without having to go all the way West past the traffic of the Village area.
They took the time to decorate for Valentines Day and manage to keep the mountain town affect. Next time I’ll try the birria plate.

What a fun, small-town diner. We chose it for the reviews and the patio seating. The service was outstanding–attentive and so friendly. We chose machaca and eggs, which was not as flavorful as it was plentiful. The salsa it was served with added a good dimension. We also had the omelet–avocado, tomato, and bacon. It was well done and delicious. Overall, a very good, down-home breakfast for about $12-14 per person.

This is a nice place to get great food for a good price. Portions are more than fair and the food is tasty. The decor is stuck in the 80’s I think, but it’s clean and the staff is great as they come around several times to make sure everything is ok. I never got past half a cup of coffee because they were always there to fill my cup up again. I loved that! My friend had the machaca plate and I had the Florentine eggs Benedict. No complaints here. Will go back again when I’m on my next Big Bear adventure
