I’m no salad expert but I think the cleanliness of the salad my wife was served was not acceptable.
Let me start from the beginning:
We entered the restaurant around 7:10
We placed our order around 7:15
Up to now everything was going pretty routine
She ordered a salad and I ordered a club sandwich and a bowl of the soup of the day…
We waited, and waited and waited…
At 7:42 our food showed up at the table, when I asked what took so long we were told that the food gets made in the order the kitchen receives the tickets. I replied with “do you think it’s acceptable to wait almost 30 minutes for soup, salad and a cold sandwich?”
The waitress replied with
“ I can only do what I can”
So we began to eat our food and then my wife starts picking pieces of her salad “bricks of lettuce” out of her salad.
That wasn’t the big deal the issue was that it took almost 30 minutes to get the salad and it wasn’t even prepared.
Then the camels back was broken when she discovered there was dirty “that’s correct unclean lettuce in her salad”
I post two photos with this the first was when I placed the 2 oz salad dressing container next to it.
Then I reached in my pocket for a quarter and realized I had my pocket size tape measure.
The reason this review is being posted is because when the waitress (super sweet lady) went to the manager she was told that she was too busy to come talk to me. So since I couldn’t talk to the manager I’m hoping someone sees this and talks to the kitchen staff about the food they are sending out to the customers.
I hope this post is both helpful “for consumers” and motivating “for the business owners”

Had the Taco salad. Waitress was awesome. First time here. A lot of TV’ s to watch your favorite games. Mixed reviews i read here. I guess it depends when you come in or whats going on. I came in at 11am. Great service. 🙂

Was wondering why the food was taking so long, I’m guessing they needed more time to overcook everything. Ordered a patty melt… The most dry burger I’ve ever tasted, no sautéed onions, just slices, one piece of bread was burnt and the other stale. Also ordered a reuben… which smelled like wet dog. Didn’t have the courage to taste it. The service though, was just as bad as the food, maybe a little bit better. My cup of cottage cheese was ok. Bottom line, it wasn’t bad, it was atrocious.

Went back to give a 2nd chance for n a bad meal. It was even free. Waited once again for a burger and onion rings. Burger hard as brick. Onion rings cold. Waited close to an hour. Taco salad meat was cold. Never waste your money.

I just wanted a burger while I watched the game on TV. I was excited about the fact that the coaches corner was recently redone, and it looked really nice. I ordered a burger & fries & expected to get a good plate of food, mainly because it was going to be over $15 with tax & tip. To my disappointment I got a medium to small amount of fries, and a cheap precooked burger that you can buy frozen in a box & microwave at home. I actually bought a case a few years ago and made them that way. It was a big letdown. I can buy a good hand pattied bar burger, at half the price, from at least 5 places nearby. I expected more for the price, atmosphere, and reputation of the Wild Rose.

We were there for the Sawyer Brown concert and arrived close to an hour before the show started. We ordered as soon as we were sat and there we sat for 45 minutes without our meal arriving. Not sure why the restaurant was SO understaffed on a busy concert night. They knew how many concert tickets were sold, and it being a Saturday night, there is NO reason they be understaffed. AT.ALL. We asked about our food after the restaurant had been clearing out and we still were maybe the “third” ticket up. Our waitress couldn’t tell us whether it would be soon and had started cooking or not, even though she went back to the kitchen to check our status. Will not be returning again. Village Inn after the concert satisfied our needs-go there, wasn’t a disappointment!

We were there over memorial weekend and it was fantastic! We had a terrible experience with the Candlelight Restaurant in Clinton, so it was refreshing to have an excellent waitress and good food here at Coaches Corner!! We are originally from Clinton and Coaches Corner has never let us down! Clean, friendly, good food and the atmosphere is wonderful, this is the place to go!

Had the special they had. This taste was good but all the food was not hot. They must use warmers but they are just not enough. Server offered to take my food to be warmed up so I give her credit for offering. It’s too bad because the food tasted good but very disappointed with the temp.
