The shawarma here was absolutely delicious! The people who work there are so kind and welcoming — it really made the experience special. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I wish we had a spot like this back in San Francisco!

Delicious food! We shared an Armenian plate half chicken and half pork. Unique flavors; sauces were fresh and tasty. The tomato and cucumber salad was crunchy and the hummus on the lavash was a treat.
Just one table inside and a small table outside. Try it out for great food at a great price.

I believe I’ve discovered a rather excellent kabob restaurant in my neighborhood. I ordered the pork ribs, which were cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The hummus and rice were also decent. It’s evident that the couple owners are very kind and friendly, and their demeanor reminded me of my grandparents.

Absolute gem. The pork shawarma combo was delicious; I loved the sauces. Fries were good, but nothing too special. A bit soggy.
When they ask if you want spicy, they’re asking if you want jalapeno slices. Do it. It’s a mild kick at best.
The couple running this is an older man & woman. They’re so cute. Please support their business.

Holy Moly! Really good charcoal-fired kebabs at a really good value. This Mom and Pop place is clean, welcoming and offers high-quality food. The steak kebab was amazingly tender and flavorful and the Spicy Chicken breast and regular Chicken breast kebabs were equally delicious. We ordered the platter which includes perfectly prepared rice, creamy hummus, lavash bread, and a large green bbq’d pepper and tomato. The kebabs and vegetables are cooked over a charcoal fire, which adds to the wonderful flavor. The owners are personal and friendly and have pride in their business. The restaurant is located in a small center and not visible from the road. There are a few tables, but it is primarily take-out orders. I will definitely be back to try the Lula kebabs and the red bean salad.

Tricky to find in the inside corner of a strip mall. We were concerned when we walked in and could not smell any food and it was 5pm. The large display case was empty. Eventually saw the the food was in warming trays. The lady working there was very nice and spoke limited English. We tried a chicken and a pork plate (wraps were also available, but that’s all they had on the menu).

You might wonder what it takes to make exceptional shawarma. To find an answer, visit Backyard Shawarma. The staff is welcoming and gracious; the flavor profiles are extraordinary. It’s a simple menu but that ensures that execution is consistent. A must for shawarma aficionados!

Def one of the best mom and pop shops I’ve ever been to. People were super friendly and polite. Food tastes amazing and gives a fresh homemade type of flavor. Will definitely come to again!

Read great reviews and decided to try it out with my co-workers!
We walked in and two ladies were working on a to-go order. There were no menus anywhere, so we stood there and patiently waited. The ladies were three feet from us and didn’t acknowledge us. We politely said “hi” and asked for menus. One lady seemed annoyed and bluntly said “we don’t have menus. We have shawarma” and went back to work.
We left. Three stars because maybe they were having a bad day…?
