Classic New York and Paris vibes in downtown Milwaukee! The restaurant is gorgeous with a beautiful bar and cute tables! We were seated by the windows and got to enjoy the views of the river.
The staff were all so friendly and made some great recommendations on the menu. We got a baguette and butter to start, the butter was so creamy and salty. We skipped other appetizers, though they all sounded delicious. We got the Pork Sausage Crepinette, Ravioli Dauphine, and some Pommes Frites with lemon rosemary aioli. everything was SO good, can’t recommend enough! The ravioli had a beautiful cheesy taste with the fresh pasta and I loved the shoestring fries with the lemony aioli. Would definitely get it all again!
For dessert we split the Millefeuille a la banane, with creamy mousse and rummy caramel. We can’t wait to be back and try more! Everything was so good!

I had a great experience there. Food was fantastic, although a little pricey. Service was great. We had Loris (I may have gotten his name wrong), he was great and made some good recommendations. The decor was great, but the restaurant was a but dark and very noisy. Still, an excellent time. I would highly recommend

Food was generally really good. The scallops were a bit too salty, but the beef tartare was the best I’ve tried. I actually found myself enjoying the lentils the scallops were served with more than the scallops themselves. The flottante was wonderful. The tartare was served on some pretty firm sourdough, which was challenging to cut with a knife. When another table near me ordered it, they were provided a sharper steak knife to help with cutting, which I wish I’d asked for.
I was disappointed because my appetizer was accidentally given to my neighbor table. A new one was brought out in a timely manner, though. I did watch them nearly deliver my other app to the wrong table as well.
The tables for small parties along the windows are very close together. It feels difficult to access the booths with people eating on either side. It’s also very loud inside as a result – I was dining alone and planning to read while I ate, but I probably would not try to do that again. If I were there with my husband, I would have been more comfortable.
The wait staff was polite and provided good recommendations overall. Justin was humorous and comfortable to talk to.
I’d love to visit again once they’ve settled in some more.

Food was great! Loved everything we ordered. I get that French bistro tables are close together but it’s hard to access the bench without worrying about bothering the table next to you. It also seemed like a lot of people touch the bread at the bread station after possibly handling menus, water canisters, etc.

Opening week for Milwaukee’s hottest new French restaurant. Loved the atmosphere, the decor is absolutely perfect. Elevated vibe that still feels homey and cozy. Some minor kinks to be worked out still, service was slow and the pacing for the dishes was off, but as they settle into their new space I’m sure everything will only improve. Bread & butter is a must- the butter tower is beautiful and delicious. Fried oysters were okay, the cream and pastry overpowered the taste of the oysters, especially since they’re fried in a thick batter. Scallops had a good sear but were slightly rubbery and chewy- perhaps due to their large size. Ravioli Dauphine is an absolute must but be careful as it can get very salty very quickly with the butter sauce. Best split between multiple people or treated as an appetizer. Chicken had a fantastic crispy skin while still being soft and juicy. The steak is decent but not a need- the fries are delicious though. Opera cake was rich and decadent, very thick bottom crust that overpowered the heavy hazelnut cream. We had an 8pm reservation and stayed until close, would recommend coming earlier in the night. Appetizers came out fast and the mains came out in a weird stagger, had to ask a couple of times for a water refill. Drinks are good but the wine is the star of the show here. I loved my time at Cassis and am very excited to see how they grow. This place has quickly made its way to the top of my list and I will absolutely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Absolutely stunning meal at Milwaukee’s newest spot, @cassismke! From the start – baguette with the most delicious, creamy salted butter, to the texturally perfect Tête De Cochon, beautiful wines, a reimagining of the Croque Monsieur was incredible, the perfectly cooked steak frites and the most delicious ravioli I’ve ever tasted— their Ravioli Dauphine was over-the-top good without being overly rich.
Service from Nika and hospitality were phenomenal. Interior was stunning and vibes were so good! Will definitely be returning.
