The hostess was so awesome and just a ball of happiness and great energy.
The food was delicious and presentation was good; as many have said the Chicken Teriyaki was fantastic.
Portions were pretty good.
I’m a big eater so we ordered a lot. Chicken teriyaki, 5 Maki Rolls and a pop. Total plus tip was $100+
Give it a shot! We will definitely be back.

This is Japanese comfort food owned, hosted and cooked by friendliest store owner in Redwood City. Always smiling even visible through her mask, the owner is a culinary saint and a hospitality angel. The husband and wife team have worked hard all their lives to feed downtown Redwood City and their family and this work shows in their wholesome food and intimate friendliness. Share the love and visit this treasure!!

Tried this spot for the first time today, and we were thrilled! Delicious food (and good quality/fresh), great portions, and a lovely business owner. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!

This place was fairly close by for lunch when I had to report for Jury duty. Owner was super positive and nice personality was pretty contagious, despite how terrible the weather was that day. Had their “Power Chicken” at a mild spicy level. The food came out quick, and I can tell that there was some “wok hay” in the cooking. The chicken was tender, onions were fresh, crisp, and lightly charred which takes skill. Sauce was actually mildly spicy, unlike some places where there is barely any spice when you order “mild”. Generous helping of rice.
Went back after service to order a small party tray for dinner, and to get some boba next door from Teaspoon. Would go again if I was in the area and looking for food.

Came here during the week for their popular lunch special and it did not disappoint! For less than $20 I got chicken teriyaki (get it with crispy skin), salad and California rolls. The lady who workers here (I believe is the owner) is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I will definitely be back and encourage others to give this place a try!

The woman who works there is amazing. She is so sweet and brightens my day. She even remembers your name and makes conversation with you and remembers what you do and such. I always get the Spider Roll here and I can’t get enough. Its definitely a hidden gem because it’s a bit hidden from view but I seriously love everything about this place. Definitely recommend. 🙂

Just okay. The woman behind the counter was beyond friendly and took my order quickly. I had the chicken teriyaki lunch special, but substituted a spicy tuna roll for the California roll with imitation crab. That, and a can of Coke was $26 with tip, so the special isn’t especially cheap. The chicken wasn’t particularly good, but the roll was tasty.
