A long time ago, I used to live in Alexandria, and this place was one of the few places in town that was really worth something, that was actually unique. I finally went back with a party of 8 and we were seated almost immediately, with the staff cleaning down the table and helping move chairs over. We got drinks and chips, and their salsa was extremely delicious. It’s spicy enough to be mouth-tingling with the perfect texture. We also got the cheese sauce, which was also good, and our food arrived not long after. I got the Yolandas, which were chicken enchiladas with chiles and tomatoes, with cheese sauce on top and served with rice. They also give you hot sauce with your table, so I drizzled some on the enchiladas. The chicken was so good! The portions were pretty big too! Overall, the meal was amazing, and it truly does live up to being authentic. The atmosphere is even better! I’d say it’s the best part of this restaurant. The tables, walls, lights and booths are decorated well. The service was alright. We did have to ask for more chips, but we didn’t have to ask for refills of drinks. Overall, 5 stars. This place is the exact same as when I left, which is a good thing in a constantly changing world.

Absolute worst experience. We did have larger party and were paitent but had to ask for refills and more chips, was never offered and we came for a birthday, I have never witnessed such unprofessional service without asking, smashed cake into my husbands face ( so hard it went in his eyes, nose, ears and all over his clothing) they did not let anyone know this would be happening nor did they check for any allergies before smashing the cake into his mouth. I am extremely unhappy as well as everyone in our party

Was so bland. My triple taco salad chicken, steak and shrimp were not cooked thoroughly. Very pink and chewy. Shrimp were not a peachy color. The service was good.

Good if you don’t expect a ton. Flautas were alright but next time I will for sure ask for chicken because they come with ground beef already. Pretty cold inside too so bring a jacket!
