Oh… and I almost forgot my delicious drink! Lavendar Lotus Blossom! It’s a must have!
The atmosphere is calm and lovely. Quiet enough to share conversations and not feel like you’re speaking over others.
We will be back!
I’m usually a bit cautious when it comes to Asian food, but I decided to give Blue Pearl a try — and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein and Hot & Sour Soup, and both were absolutely delicious.
I’ve been to plenty of Asian restaurants, and Blue Pearl truly stands out. The texture, flavor, and freshness were incredible — every bite was perfectly balanced.
Even though it was just a carry-out order this time, I’m already looking forward to dining in and trying more of their dishes. The restaurant itself looks beautiful inside, too.
I wish I had asked for the lady’s name — she was so kind and went out of her way to help me decide on a few dishes. That genuine kindness and extra bit of care really went a long way.
I sat at the bar and the masking tape sticker on the bar cabinet with “Fist In First Out” is the first thing I noticed. Then I started to look around the rest of the bar, the monitor for food ordering was filthy, and everything just seemed to be spread all over the place and disorganized. Not to mention I could see a lot of behind the scenes stuff I shouldn’t. When I come to a restaurant I want to relax and not get anxiety wanting to clean the place.
I ordered Wonton Soup which flavorless. It was hot. It was wontons in water. Not super impressed.
Egg Roll was ok, it was hot and crispy. I guess it’s part my fault that I was disappointed because I wanted the Michigan Egg Roll with bean sprouts. This had cabbage. Meh.
I also got chicken fried rice. The chicken was moist and tender but the rice was super greasy. Not what I wanted to pay $15 for.
I think I overhyped this place up by looking at their website before I came. I was expecting fine dining and got glorified mall food.
