KB’s BBQ Smokehouse absolutely deserves the hype. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with smoky flavor, and clearly cooked with care. The macaroni and cheese was rich, creamy, and downright addictive, and the greens were perfectly seasoned—comfort food done right.
Even though it’s takeout only, the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, the kind of place that makes you excited to dig in the moment you get your food. Despite being busy with orders, the staff stayed pleasant, efficient, and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better.

Normally don’t do bad reviews, but first and last time I’m ordering from here. I was very excited to try a new restaurant and didn’t want to believe the bad reviews. Unfortunately, this place lived up to those reviews and ruined the experience of trying a new spot to eat at.
The Mac and cheese I ordered came with plastic COOKED and mixed into it. I also ordered the catfish platter and the batter for the catfish was UNDERCOOKED. We also ordered a Watermelon Mint Lemonade and it was just PURE sugar. I’ve grown up making my own Kool Aid and Sweet Tea, but this was just sugar water with red food coloring. Then, I had the Double Chocolate Cake and it tasted like the packaging it was in. Lastly, the fries in the Loaded Pulled Pork Fries were also UNDERCOOKED!!!
When we called on the phone the guy on the other line sounded like he was FAKE CONCERNED and when we told him about the plastic he said “SOMETIMES THAT HAPPENS”. No type of apology, acknowledgement, or accountability.
There’s no type of quality control at this restaurant and it shows in their food and staff.

Jerk chicken was good and juicy but just too spicy for me. Macaroni salmon salad taste like straight mayonnaise that’s it and the Mac was Popeyes Mac. Now the “supposedly” strawberry, cucumber limeade was just sugary water with color ♀️ I love cucumber juice and it was no taste of cucumber in that juice .

Probably the most disgusting food I’ve ever received. I can’t say eaten, because I refuse. I’ve never seen brisket look like this and the amount of fat is just ridiculous. We literally have containers full of grey meat and fat. The sautéed kale is gritty as if it wasn’t washed before being cooked. The mac and cheese is bland and soggy. I thought it was an off day given the other glowing reviews so I tried calling but no answer. $70 wasted – I will never order from here again.

I was at this restaurant yesterday. The brisket, jerk chicken, and wings were really good. The wait, however, was over an hour, which was not the best! There were only two people working the front counter, but I must admit they were very professional, friendly, and did their best to help everyone.
The mac & cheese and yams were unavailable and we were told they were still in the oven, so we had to wait for them. Unfortunately, they were not worth the extended wait for us. In my opinion, those are staple sides for this type of cuisine, so better prep management could really help.
There was also no option to choose white or dark meat, which was a downside.
I would definitely come back for the brisket, but if management reviews feedback, it may be helpful to reevaluate staffing on busy days like Fridays and Saturdays.

Recently ordered on Uber Eats. I got the brisket, pulled pork, jerk chicken, macaroni, candy yams and a lemonade. Everything was exceptionally delicious. Brisket was tender and flavorful. Jerk was smoky and spicy. Macaroni was absolutely to die for. And I lovedddd the candy yams. I don’t do much reviews because I could care less about taking the time to write one, but this spot deserved its praise. Will be ordering back from here soon. Also I ordered all this food for myself, but it easily feeds 2.

Seen this place on social media so drove 25 mins on parkway. i order the jerk chicken platter jerk was just to spicy hot no real flavor, sides were greens not our collards,thrbake mac was not chessy had a garlicy taste the box kind taste 100% better. then extra sides were candie yams were good had much better, salmon mac salad tasted like straight mayo and where is the salmon at?

KBs is a game changer. Humble establishment that pushes out great product. Ive ordered from here numerous times. Everything in the menu is outstanding. They smoke their meats to perfection. They must have a caribbean chef bc the jerk chicken is OUTSTANDING. Great flavor with great spice as well. They have amazing $5 lunch specials that has great portion. Keep up the amazing work. Walk into good music playing, cooks prepping, laughing in the kitchen enjoying life (a good sign)
Ordered the brisket platter with Mac n cheese and Mac salad with a pineapple green tea
Spent $35 (with a small tip)
I’m assuming the owner. came out and gave me a sample of his brisket and told me about how he’s trying a new brine for the meat. Seemingly super excited to be trying new ways to better the business and food (awesome)
I wish I had taken pictures of the food but I ABSOLUTELY wrecked that meal.
Servings from the platter are honestly enough for 2 people to have a nice lunch or one big back to take a nap after eating.
I’d rate everything a 9/10
While typing that I feel a 9 is unfair and should be higher but I’m weird when it comes to Mac salad and don’t just hand out 10s

I had an amazing experience with KB Smokehouse! The service is always great, and the food is absolutely delicious. Ariel, the receptionist, is the sweetest—so kind, professional, and understanding. I had ordered a catfish platter via Uber Eats, and unfortunately, the fish wasn’t fully cooked through. It was late, and since the restaurant was close to closing and I was still at work, I couldn’t go back in person.
I called the restaurant, and Ariel picked up. After I explained the situation, she handled everything with such care and made sure the issue was resolved quickly. Her customer service alone deserves a 10/10.
As for the food—it’s amazing! Their catfish platter is one of my favorites, and their prices are very reasonable. Overall, KB Smokehouse has definitely gained a loyal new customer. I absolutely love this place!
