The place is beautiful and inviting. You will love the look. Although beyond that was not as impressive. The service was mediocre. Our waitress seemed to not want to be at work nor did she want to smile. I inquired about a specific dish and her recommendation. No description or rec was given. The food tasted processed. Belgium waffle was thin like an ego. The strawberry side was like jelly from a jar. Chicken dish was sus. The smells were off as if cooked with other food (fish).

I had a delightful experience eating here. To start, the second I entered the establishment. I felt a warm, welcoming feeling. Once I got inside, I did not have to wait long in order to get a table for two. I ordered the BBQ Shrimp & Grits and it tasted absolutely amazing. The staff and our waitress were very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and will be coming back.

Anjou is a must-try for lunch, brunch, dinner and/or drinks!
It’s a great lunch spot during the week. Daily specials and old standbys. Fried catfish on fridays and home to the best French fries in the metro area!
Try them with some feta sauce.
The daily lunches are all good with solids choices of veggies and/or salad.
The brunch is amazing. Benedict’s, poached eggs that are not overcooked and good drinks.
Dinner is special. Steak frites. Fishes and pasta dishes.
Service is excellent. The bar scene is good and skews more mature. The atmosphere is inviting.
It’s a little piece of France in Ridgeland, Ms!

French southern restaurant. You can get the usual southern dishes and they also offer French cuisine
Escargot is pretty good. Herbs and butter covering the escargot, can’t go wrong with that.
Everything else needs some more seasoning. I know French cruisine is not as salty and heavy like southern food, but a little more seasoning would be better. Hashbrown was just plain hashbrown, probably straight from a bag.

Got the muscles in white wine and cream. No depth of flavor. Boring. Bland. Very thick sauce, more of a gravy. The wine was subservient to the cream. The crème brûlée was serviceable. Serviceable is as high as I can rate the food. The service was very good. The atmosphere decent. All told it was a big “meh”.

Anjou was located next to my hotel so I decided to walk here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We arrived around 6pm and the restaurant was mostly empty but started getting busy by the time we left. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and we opted for indoor. Our server was really good and helped us navigate the menu. We couldn’t decide between the fried and buttered crab claws and ended up with half and half. Both were really good! However, we should have asked what the Market Price was because 30+ dollars was a bit much (our mistake lol). We both enjoyed the complimentary bread and had to exercise a lot of self control to prevent from requesting more. The Shrimp Linguini had really good flavor and was full of meat, but the sauce was too thin for my liking. The other guest had a Caesar Salad and order of Fried Oysters (both were good). We were planning to split the Strawberry Crepe for dessert but we got something different than advertised. The menu stated fresh strawberries, but we got a crepe filled with a strawberry sauce. I do not like strawberry sauce so unfortunately had to send it back.

First time here. We couldn’t decide on a mimosa so we just both got a flight his steak was perfectly cooked and fall apart tender. I’ve never had escargot either so we tried that. Soft and not at all chewy. It tasted like butter and herbs. Everything was perfectly cooked! Ended with the strawberry crepe and we scraped that plate clean. Such a light and tasty way to end our meal! Will be back to try the dinner menu!

Anjou is consistently great! Their service is personal and efficient. You are always greeted with a smile when you walk in the door. You have the same experience whether in the bar or in the dining area..the food is consistently 5/5. It’s a high end restaurant with a “ neighborhood” vibe.5/5 on all counts!

My family and I had an event here for my mom. I was a little scared because I was planning from out of state and wasn’t able to see the restaurant until the day of. You will not be disappointed! The service was excellent. The waiter and waitress was attentive and the food was great. The ambience can’t be beat! Simple elegance. Thank you for a wonderful experience for my mom. My husband and I had a romantic dinner at Anjou a few weeks ago. We chose to sit at a booth in the bar which is typical for us. It was lively but not over crowded and we felt cocooned in our corner booth. It was nice to be able to view the other patrons without really being noticed. The service was on par, our waiter was efficient and attentive. But the star of this experience was the food. I had the filet with compound butter, medium rare, with asparagus and the dauphinois potatoes. My steak had a wonderfully charred crust and was cooked to perfection. My husband had the lamb chops mid rare with roasted potatoes and vegetables. We were absolutely satiated. A delightful experience.
