A propper rating would be 2.5, but I’ll bump it up instead of down.
We live nearby and have been coming here and ordering takeout since they opened, years ago. Thai is our favorite takeout and one of our favorite ethnic foods to eat out. We have visited many Thai restaurants in cities all over and feel we have a decent pallet for it. Over the last couple of years the consistency has been slowly declining, ending with our last two orders, tonight, and a month or so ago. Tonight was our one-more-chance, and it wasn’t great. The pad thai was bland, the garlic chicken had no flavor, the peanut curry chicken had great flavor but the chicken in both was chewy. My favorite dish is the fresh rolls, and these were great!
Unfortunately, we will no longer be patrons at Grimsby Thai.

It had been a long time since we got take out from here as its a bit out of the way for us but I now remember why we always got food here. The basil beef and pumpkin red curry are absolutely fantastic. This place has been around for a long time and there is a reason why, the food is great. Also try the mango rice for dessert it delicious too!

This is our go to for Thai and it has been amazing every time I’ve ordered take out or eaten in! The interior of restaurant may seem dated to some but I feel it adds to the charm of this place. Highly recommend!

We went there today for takeout, and their food was pretty good! We were especially pleased with the Pad Thai and Crispy Beef. Tge portions are a little on the smaller side for some items versus the price, but it is still worth a try.

I did not love my first experience here, however, we went back and I did LOVE my choice this time and his.

What a find, this place was recommended to me a long time ago but I thought good thai in Grimsby of all places, no can’t be. But now, I regret not dining here sooner. I don’t eat meat so opted for the Basil Fried Rice with Shrimp. It was ready in 10 minutes, but don’t let that short prep time fool you. When I opened the lid I was delighted, I knew I was in for something good. It was piping hot, the cucumbers a nice touch. The shrimp, wow, so plump, juices almost flew as I bit into the thick part. Enough shrimp for almost every bite to have a bit of shrimp in it. The rice was cooked perfectly and flavourful. I always check the bottom of the dish and to my delight there was no pool of oil. The veggies, so fresh, I dont believe any of it was frozen except for maybe the few green beans. The peppers were very al dente but thats ok. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and so fresh tasting, onions and green beans, a bit of egg. I enjoyed this from the first bite to the last. Now for the price, I did feel it was pricey when I picked it up, $21 and change, but after eating, I am 100% satisfied with the value I got for my money. I will be back again and again. I’m already planning my next visit, I just can’t wait, will likely be this week. p.s I dont live in Grimsby so thats saying alot! Thankyou Grimsby Thai, please don’t let the quality or consistency drop.

My absolute favourite restaurant in Grimsby. The employees are always kind and the food is great. Food portions are good, and the prices are decent. The garlic chicken is my favourite and my mouth is watering just thinking about it

The service was pleasant and friendly. The food was fantastic and the place was warm. I’ve been in more dimmer lighting Thai restaurants but this was still good. Prices are reasonable too. If I had any comment it would be that the calamari could have a little less breading but a minor thing and not anything that will keep me from returning.

Went for lunch specials on two separate occasions. Got Pad Thai previously and this time Thai Red Curry Chicken. It is served in a small underwhelming rice bowl and the curry is full of broccoli. The portions are satisfactory but felt like it wasn’t justified with the lunch price.

This was the first time that I have eaten here and it was open for Family Day. I was served by Sitha who was super efficient and friendly. There is a lot of ample seating for dine in and they offer take out too.
