We swung through on our travels. We enjoy trying new places on the road and like to support small local businesses. Parking was hard, but the environment inside is cool. Servers were nice, but not very fast or overly eager to be at work. Food was average good. I enjoyed a different style of potato salad.
Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out amazing. Prices are fair and I really like the straight forward pricing. “Sales tax included”
We’ve had amazing BBQ and super sweet southern hospitality / bubbly service while traveling at other locations, so it didn’t help that we came in with high expectations.
We’re glad we tried it and recommend trying it, if you’re in the area. “We understand service can be different day to day” We just won’t be marking it as a must stop when we’re traveling through the area.

After a horrible experience with the previous owner, I vowed never to return to Big Sticky’s. I usually give a restaurant a few tries before making up my mind but this was the exception. I decided to start fresh when the new owners took over. I brought my dad along and I am SO glad we gave it another try!! The restaurant was spotless, except for the many guests enjoying their food. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and we chose our seats. Our server was a bubbly and sweet lady with gray hair {I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name} She answered all of our menu questions and even suggested her favorites. We were brought our food in record time with a smile. It was DELICIOUS! Two bites in, my dad was already planning his next meal when we return. We will be returning! When I say this visit was a complete 180° from our original experience several years ago, it’s no exaggeration. If you haven’t given them a try yet, do not wait! If you’ve given Big Sticky’s a try in the past and we’re extremely disappointed like me, go back! You won’t be sorry. Oh, and try the beer, we loved both of our choices. It looks like they have specials throughout the week so be sure to find them on their social media and give them a follow!
I also love to see an owner who shows up in our community and on our community boards with a positive and kind attitude and shares their specials/restaurant happenings.
Congrats to you all on your venture here in Troy. I wish you many years of success!

I’ll try to be brief, but long story. We went when it first opened. We had a horrible meal. They were out of just about everything at 6 pm on friday. We just heard they are under different ownership. So I’ll give them a 2nd chance. Wife got there around 4:35 pm on a Tuesday. Called me and said they were out of ribs I wanted. Ok, so I got the 3 pc combo meal for $31 for me, her and the dog. We got burnt ends, brisket and a pork steak. The burnt ends were a 7 out of 10. Dunked in sauce, but not very many pcs. The brisket was dry, but had a good chew, but again not many slices. A 6 out of 10. And finally the pork steak, very dry, hard to chew and very small. A 2 out of 10. The potato was good. A 7 out of 10. And the noodles, were great, a 8.5 out of 10. Meal was ok. I would not recommend for the money value. If only place open selling bbq, then it would do.

Dryest Brisket I have ever had in my life. Ordered a Philly brisket sandwich . When i got back home to eat it and it was horribly dry. When I looked at the brisket and it looked like it was made yesterday. I ordered my meal around 11 am. When I called and asked if it was made yesterday they told me the brisket was made this morning. Idk about you but this brisket sure doesn’t look like it was made this morning. I’ll let you be the judge

Stopped in after hiking at Cuivre River. The BBQ was just good. I had the two meat combo, the Brisket was a decent portion. The pork streak was not fall off the bone tender which I am used to, but otherwise good. Service was OK, one of the owners checked in with us

I went in on a quiet afternoon and had a great lunch. There is no shortage of portions or flavor. Went with the brisket sandwich and it was piled high and cooked right. Nice selection of craft beer on tap. The owners work hard to make it right. Happy to support a family run business.

Great food and nice craft beer draft selection. Went with the Oh Dam burger and well, I’d say they are losing money on that thing. Could have fed 4 people. Took home some burnt ends and corned beef which was fantastic the next day. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

I love that Good News Brewing came into the restaurant. The Apple Cider is awesome. I’m a fan of so many items on the menu. The brisket and pulled pork are two favs. Congrats Derek and Amber!

Recently remodeled the new Big Sticky’s looks very fresh and nice. The brisket this time was a little dry, but other times it has been just perfect. The burnt ends are always good, so definitely recommend! The only downside for us is that they are just a little on the pricey side, otherwise would highly suggest you give them a try!
