Amazing staff!!!! The owners are alot of fun and the bartenders are pretty AWESOME.
TUESDAY TACO NIGHT ROCKS! The tacos are dam good. Happy hour daily and drink specials are always nice. Between the patrons, casino, pool tables and darts, there is always something to do. Alot of fun.

Totally dug this bar until the car show… went in and ordered a double jaguar with a Lil redbull and the tender made in to a drink. I told her i didn’t want it in a drink and to give me a glass so I can take it in a shot and she threw a fit. I told her I’m not going to drink it that way, so she went and got me a double jaguar then a full jaguar. I told her I didn’t want the full jaguar and she chewed me out again. I enjoy customer service and was in the field for many of years…I will not get yeld at for someone’s mistake and get chewed out later by another bartender for doing nothing wrong. Will not go back…kinda ruined my night

July 2024 – made it back. It was a perfect cool day for a road trip from Highwood to Townsend, about 150 miles, to enjoy crispy battered cod, ice cold beer and friendly conversation with staff, customers, and owner. Can’t ask for better.
Update July 2023- we made it back for our annual wedding anniversary fish fry and beer. Such nice people. God willing we will see you next year.
Update 2022: for the third year in a row we have driven 3 hours to Townsend to spend our anniversary here because of the food (fish fried crisply to perfection), the servers and the very friendly customers.
We always run into someone who wishes to talk about places where we have lived or live and other topics. We also appreciate that they were open while other places were closed for COVID July 2020.
July 2020: Reminded my husband of the fish frys and taverns he grew up with in Wisconsin. Great food, good company, and excellent service. Green Bay Packers paraphernalia, hunting, fishing, and motorcycle pictures hanging on the walls.

Great place, locals are pleasant to out of towners, which is exceedingly rare. Easy parking for sprinters or large vans.
