Spice Up House of Indian Cuisine offers good food and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and polite, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall.
That said, while the food was enjoyable, it didn’t quite stand out as the best Indian spot on the island. Service could also use a bit more attentiveness as our water wasn’t refilled often, and we weren’t checked on much after the food was served. It was also difficult to spot the entrance to the parking lot behind the building so I took a picture of it here.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the area and craving Indian food, and with a little more attention to service, it could be even better.

The restaurant is very clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Chicken tandoori is definitely a must, so juicy and they serve it on a hotplate. Samosa comes with 2 sauces, not too greasy. Lamb curry does not have gamey smell at all. Dishes come with rice. Naan can’t get any more fresh — light crisp and just great. Would definitely come again.

Great place for Indian food. The lamb is not gamey and I will be back soon to try the rack of lamb. The chilli paste is onolicious.

The service was good. Our waiter brought us food quickly. The garlic naan was exceptional. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they used the same exact tomato base for the Alu matar and Malai Kofta. The lemon rice was just plain yellow rice with a slice of lemon on the side! Not authentic lemon rice.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited. I did takeout for a small family get-together and called in my order.
Despite my poor pronunciation of the dishes, the person I spoke to was able to understand what I ordered. Lol.
At first, I didn’t think it was enough food for 5 adults and 1 child. We got shrimp saag, matar paneer, butter chicken, a garlic cheese naan, roti, and two orders of vegetable samosas. It was more than sufficient. What made it even better was that they also gave me rice. All for under $85. Not bad at all.
Everything was mild, since three people in our party don’t like spicy food.

This isn’t the first time I’ve visited this place. All four times prior, my coworkers and I have brought food from here and had no bad things to say.

The service and atmosphere were great. Staff was friendly, helpful and patient. The restaurant has a very comfortable vibe, easy and relaxing to be in. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I had such a wonderful experience here! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so warm and welcoming. The service really made me feel taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan, and every dish was perfect. The naan was soft and buttery, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the biryani was packed with spice in the best way.
This place is truly a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re craving authentic Indian food.

Finding Indian food in the Waikiki area wasn’t easy, so this place was a pleasant discovery. They offer halal lamb, and the tandoori chicken is also halal. Everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying.

The restaurant was quite busy around noon, and we waited about 10–15 minutes for a table, which felt reasonable. Service was decent, and although the restaurant is small, it was clean and comfortable. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for tasty Indian food in the area.

We had lunch here today and were impressed by the food here. The Papadam was freshly made, light and crispy with good sauces. The garlic naan was perfect, fluffy, slightly crisp on edges and buttery with a garlicky taste, it smelled so good as you ate it. The tandoori shrimp was delicious, big shrimp and nice char. The Palak paneer had a lot of spinach with the cheese blocks, and had a mild flavor, really liked all the spinach in this dish. The chicken tikka masala was good, had a creamy mild flavor and the shrimp vindaloo was tasty but very spicy.

In summary we had a delicious meal here and the taste and quality of the food was a pleasant surprise. We will be coming back!

The BEST Indian food on island. This is my husband and I’s favorite spot for food we come here at least 1-2 times a month and would drive 40 minutes for it! The staff are all so incredibly kind and welcoming. I’d recommend this place to everyone! It converted my husband to an Indian food addict after trying it for the first time. Now he craves it all the time!

Very disappointing experience overall. The food was average at best, but the service was completely unacceptable.

We waited over an hour for our food, while tables that arrived after us were served first. We clearly requested that at least one dish be prepared earlier for babies/toddlers, which was ignored. The staff insisted that all items are prepared and served together, showing no flexibility or consideration for families.

When we asked multiple times how long the wait would be, the only response was that the order was “in processing,” which provided no useful information and reflected very poor communication.

To make matters worse, parking is a problem. There is no adequate street parking available, which only adds to the frustration.

Between the long wait, poor service, lack of communication, and parking issues, this restaurant is not worth the trouble. I would not recommend it, especially for families with young children.
