One morning during my english class my teacher was talking about a review we
needed to do and I had to choose between a product or a food place. At first I
wanted to do a product but then I was looking at restaurants near me and that’s
where I saw Whiskey River Bar and Grill Joliet. I was fascinated by the pictures
of the food and decided to try it out. I can proudly say that my experience there
was amazing.
First of all, I was surprised by the atmosphere of the place. The restaurant had a
lot of wooden objects and it gave a welcoming classy vibe. While walking in I was
greeted and I saw that this place had things that were very unique like the
wooden tables, the lights, and a golden colored wall at the back. The Golden
colored wall was unavoidable and it immediately caught my attention. The place
was also very clean and organized.
Second of all, the menu variety and cost were good. When we sat down we were
given a couple of minutes to look through the menu and figure out what we
wanted to eat. I really liked how the menu looked and it was easy to read and
find out the ingredients on the dishes. There were a lot of items on the menu and
they had a lot of variety to choose from. The prices were good, it wasn’t crazy
cheap nor crazy expensive, the prices felt very reasonable for one person but I
feel like if a big family goes it can be a bit pricey depending on what they order.
Third of all, the service and food were amazing. The server was very polite and
handed me the menu. After taking a look at the menu I decided to order the
chicken club and some fries. I waited a couple of minutes for my sandwich and I
can proudly say that the wait was worth it. It looked like they had pulled it straight
from an advertisement, steamy and fresh. I went in for my first bite and the
crispness of the chicken was out of this world and the sliced avocados actually
felt fresh. The fries were warm and really well seasoning. While eating the server
made sure our drinks were always filled. My brother ordered a WR burger and
when it got here it was ginormous. We enjoyed the food and had zero
complaints.
In conclusion, it was a great experience, I rate it a 5 star. The vibes of the place,
the awesome service and food made this experience unforgettable. I really
recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Food was pretty good. Candied bacon was excellent, wings were heavy on the breading. Bartender was friendly but lacked experience a she had to consult a chart on how to make an old fashioned.
I think this place just needs some more time and then it will be pretty good.

Such a letdown to have the front desk clerk attest to great food and receiving poor service and a horrible lineup of food. We were kind enough to order at 6:30 (knowing they stop serving at 8), and didn’t receive our meals until 8:15. The staff is absurdly rude, the cook is unfortunately undertrained, resulting in horrible food prep and quality. We received a 1 CUP SIDE of Mac and cheese AFTER WE PAID FOR a $14 meal.
The nachos consisted of chips, chicken, cheese and tomato.
My sauce for cheese bites was missing, as well as the sauce on side for bbq chicken sandwich.
They did not serve croutons, but instead bread CUBES, used for stuffing!

I wasn’t expecting much when I went in. I’m staying at the hotel. This place is amazing. I was blown away by the friendliness and the amazing food. I got the wings and cheese curds since they were on special today. I’m super impressed. I’m staying for 2 weeks and I can’t wait to explore the menu further. Loved it.

Did reservations for v day. Waitress was great. Drinks on point. Potatoe soup outta this world. Crostinnis were door stops. Salad huge and delicious. Main meal barley luke warm and chunky potatoes. No salt no pepper no steak sauce. Ordered medium got well done with alot of char and fat.

It was very nice laid back. I sat in front of the big TV close to the bar.. couldn’t have a drink because we’ll driving.. food was excellent chips and dip, and the chicken rockerfeder lol I forgot lol but excellent staff, and food, nothing to complain. There located inside the hotel just so you all know if you read this far.. thank you again for the meal and service.

The menu has been condensed since the previous time we were here but the bartender/waitress was very nice and alone. It is in a hotel and was during the week so we were pleasantly surprised how attentive the bartender was at getting us drinks and food.

Either I came on a bad day or the pictures on google are lies. The ‘garlic mashed potatoes’ were not that. They were cheap boxed mashed potatoes without any flavor. The vegetable on the pic looked like some delicious asparagus but what I got was some frozen vegetable medley that they must have boiled instead of steamed because they were flavorless. The chicken itself was the only thing on my plate that I can call delicious. The rest was, well, gross. The employees were SUPER friendly and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Overall it was overpriced for what I got. I did have a coupon tho so that’s good. If the price had been more in line with the quality of food I got I would have given 3 stars but they charge premium price for unimpressive meal.
